UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

What titles are people hoping are in the sale?
Hmm... reductions on Ping Pong CE and Harmony steelbox? Perhaps an early-bird for Genius Party CE? Oh, and maybe a Your Lie in April part 1 and 2 bundle?

Titles I'd like to see:
  • Aldnoah Zero season two
  • Samurai Flamenco Part 2
  • Terror in Resonance
  • A bunduru of Funimation UK titles
  • Tokyo marble chocolate
  • Your lie in April part 2
  • Any number of early bird specials and announcements
Highly recommend Tokyo Marble Choc, dude. :)
Terror in Res... not so much.

Same here. Just watched last week and it was great with a great soundtrack to boot. There's 2 OST CDs, but they're £20 odd each! I wish Spotify would get more anime soundtracks in their catalogue.

BTW Who would be responsible for this?
Spotify, the studio who made the series, the music company or the distributor of said series?

Thanks for the info.
I was realy hoping Anime Limited this year would include foreign/interntational customers aswell.

I still wonder why Anime Limited are so indifferent towards their foreign/international customers for these special events like 12 Days Of Chrsitmas?

@cyborg 002 - The exclusion of international customers was probably put in to stop reverse importing to the US (they’ve got a couple of Aniplex titles after all)? Maybe that happened during their first sale, because I was able to buy something during that sale.

Realistically it probably has to do with the fact that they're already barely breaking even (they might even be losing money) on these sales, adding on the cost of international shipping would hurt them even more since the international rate is fixed regardless of how many items you add to your order.

I still haven't watched the stuff I bought last year. >_>

I'm looking forward to this anyway! Hoping for some nice Funi stuff and maybe some of the Gundam stuff I've not got yet.

Honestly I'd also suspect the issue is much simpler: International shipping.
UK shipping costs are somewhat insane. Even if companies may get better fees than what is listed on Royal Mail's (or whatever other delivery company), which I repeat, is just pretty crazy by comparison, I can imagine it to hurt when the price is low already. Then more importantly add all the infame the delivery companies get for getting stuff destroyed on transport, which, as a commercial company they are liable to get replaced or refunded. That can become a big big big headache on both sides.

There aren't really many shows with as continuously great of a production quality. Great animation, directing, cinematography and usage of great music from the first second to the last. I do admit though, the penultimate 5 minute's script made me go a bit okaaaaay. Had me remember the penultimate episode of Gankutsuou whose finale was also a bit of an okaaaaay moment.

Terror in Resonance is good but is it a show you'd watch time and again? Im not sure it is which is why people are apathetic towards it.

Definitely and I can say that because I’ve watched it at least four times since it originally aired. I think it’s just so captivating that you can’t help but rewatch and be absorbed by it countless times....
