Trying not to get my hopes up re. some kind of Macross related announcement from Anime Ltd. Oh My Word though, if they do... That's my year made.

Likewise for any classic Gundam announcement.

I wonder if Viewster will suddenly announce that Macross will be on their streaming service.

Ah well, we can dream right?

I can totally picture a lush Anime Ltd release of Macross Plus on BR already (although obviously the stuff that's never come out in the UK before like Frontier is equally important)

Alas no - no Macross related stuff from us right now! I do dream of it, but alas that's it for now ;_;.

You've just killed my day. Week. Month. Year?....... :p

Although in seriousness it's hard to see any way out of that licensing quagmire....

For anyone attending MCM this weekend, just wanted to make it known that we'll be involved in a panel a day during the weekend. One of those will be the traditional Anime Industry Q & A panel. (The exact times will be revealed soon in the MCM show guide.)

Never occurred to me until now that the last set was only 6 episodes, I mean the others were only 9 each, but damn seeing only 1 disc in that digipak gave me a shock for a second. Was interested in seeing how those Goku pins would be, I guess those weren't garnering a positive reaction and were dropped, most likely for the box and booklet? Looks like a good release from you in any case that aside, and people seem to be happy with it so that's what matters (pleasing the core fans), but as with the previous KLK set, an easy pass from me.

Nice. Would have liked to have seen the artwork from the Japanese volume 8 used.

Anyone else notice Guts is looking up Mako's skirt.

Great great news this. AL are the only UK distro that I'd trust to put out a CE that would come anywhere near the US sets for the first series.

Quite a feather in their cap IMO.

A strong start to the MCM announcements! It wasn't my cup of tea but there were so many rave reviews when it was streaming that I'm sure it will do well for them.

I wonder what Manga are thinking right now? If anything.

That's fantastic news, and great to see the show get the proper treatment.

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of combi editions, but going from the info there, it seems like it won't affect the price, and it seems pretty reasonable for what you're getting, especially compare to the cost of the US version. Hopefully the fans that went out and got the first season will be equally up for this release (as arguably the second season is much better than the first).
