UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I'll be interested to see how Prisma Illya does, I wonder if the general audience for the Fate franchise translates over much?

I was thinking about this earlier, so I apologise in advance for the messy question, but how would the rights work if you wanted to gain access to the dub for Durarara!! x2? It's been streaming weekly on CR although it's locked to America only.
Do Aniplex want some sort of exclusivity on it for the time being, or is the lockout to protect domestic sales in the UK/AUS? Or is it simply a case of local distributors not having a streaming deal in place for the dub?

I'm not exactly the embodiment of the Fate audience (although I love F/Z & FSN), but the show definitely isn't the sort of thing I'd prioritise watching.

I think it's less re exclusivity and what their plans for the dub are I guess. Hard for me to tell honestly from here as there's been a few shifts in digital management with AoA. All I know is if there is a dub, it's usable on homevideo anyway - so it doesn't seem any exclusivity really...

I have to admit, I was pretty clueless when I first watched Prisma Illya - I even thought Luvia was supposed to be a tweaked version of Saber and didn't realise she was an actual character in her own right.

I am a huge type moon fan so I would buy it if it wasn't for the fact I was still saving for xenoblade ;_; The collectors ed should still be around at Christmas right?

Is the English dub going to be the Sentai dub? Someone mentioned a separate UK dub may have been produced or is that just a rumour?

Didn't even realise there was already a UK dub for it - does it use the same English VAs as the original Fate series? I always thought Mela Lee as Rin was great.

Fate/kaleid only has one English dub - which is from Sentai Filmworks.

There is no UK dub. Just a rumour.

According to Amazon Kill la Kill part 3 is now coming out on the 8th rather than the 1st June.

Unfortunately this is correct. Though to put this out there the date shift is more a precaution on our part than anything. (We we were concerned that part of it might arrive in time so we have shifted the date to be on the safe side.)

Does this mean you will not (or more unlikely to) have any to sell at MCM London? I Know you were very apprehensive about this on the podcast.

I got the Kill la Kill mail too, as well as a mail for Tiger & Bunny: The Rising stating that now the release date is June 29 (I don't think it had been posted yet).

Guess the Anime Limited Store should've left it at 8th June after all xD
