Just posting to say mine turned up today! Outer box was a bit of a mess, but the inner box (the one that holds the CE itself) had been covered in bubble wrap so everything was perfect!
The book appears to have bent some of the internal packaging, but the book itself is fine and everything else is great so I'm not particularly bothered. Watched it with the English dubs (think there was a lack of sign only English subtitles, but I'm probably asking for a bit much (unless I just missed the option during setup)), thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait for the next one! Hi guys got a quick question for you! Will you have copies early of kill la kill part 3 and space dandy season next month at comic con? I just wanted to know so I add them to the list or not

With Box 1 it was originally a week before release, then they found a fault and had to postpone the original release date from November 4 to December.

I'm doing cartwheels because my Honneamise collectors edition combi pack arrived today!
I actually REALLY wish I'd been able to hold the final packaged goods in my hands ahead of writing my review for the site. This is a really lovely item. I mean, REALLY. I love it almost as much as the giant suit of robot armour I have beamed down from space to fight internet trolls with - and that only exists in my mind!
One observation: There's a slightly odd odour to the printed materials, which is a little off-putting. But the sleeve, slipcase, disc tray and booklet arrangement is a very elegant, well designed bit of presentation.
Most folks who ordered this will doubtless already know and agree with all the above. Just wanted to lob in a few words of praise here, as I really haven't been able to get my hands on anything else AL have done like this. I'm very impressed, guys.

The smell of the booklets for a lot of their releases have been... unique... Still not sure what I make of it. Did get me thinking about what kind of impact having some kind of scratch and sniff section on the inside front and back covers would have. I think I could only really make my mind up about the smell if I spent an hour in a warehouse full of the booklets. By the end I'd either love it or hate it. Hmm...

One of the Death Note movies that was released in the UK was almost unwatchable for a large part of it. The only recognition I ever saw of this was a review on Amazon. It was apparently fixed for a later regular edition release, but I wasn't in a hurry to buy it again (the main reason I got it was the packaging, and I also liked just having it when it hadn't been released in the US...)anime_andrew said:

It's an odour I've detected before on everything from DVD and CD inlays to poster prints. Trivia factoid: my nose actually doesn't work properly, and I have almost no sense of smell whatsoever. But this is one of a handful of whiffs that I can detect. Curse my luck, it seems to crop up in printed goods pretty commonly!
I think the last time I noticed it was on a CD. My girlfriend at the time had bought it and insisted on listening to it all the time, but we both hated the smell of it whenever she opened the jewel case.
And that is why, on opening my Wings of Honneamise limited edition set, my first thought was: 'Snnnnfffff! Huhhk! SOPHIE F***IN' ELLIS BEXTOR!!!'
It's a majorly nitpicky thing to bring up, though. I mean, I actually spent about an hour just skipping through the movie and watching bits of it again tonight. It could have been packed in rancid cabbage and I'd still love it!
