Really like the look of the Shinkai TwinPack. Got it today, and amazing to think it came from the same pre-order from three years ago.

One thing I would say though - I kind of wish it had just been single width in the end - as opposed to having two cases inside. Can understand the point of it having a DVD edition in it too - especially if these are going to be spun out into separate regular editions - but having the case have to be bigger just to fit in an extra plastic case to contain a DVD with 30 mins of content on it kind of seems like a packaging waste.

That aside though - the whole package looks stunning, and it's really nice to see the level of detail in the booklet too, which has a hefty amount of text in it.
 
I'd image that product that I pre-ordered all those years ago at £13 was an entirely different one than what we're getting today. End of an era, especially once we get MaiMai Miracle.
 
I missed out on the bebop CEs and I have the whole show on beez DVDs which I found in a charity shop. I would be very tempted to buy a UE if it contained the soundtrack, an art book (with interviews) and the movie obviously. AL's UEs have gotten better and better over the years and the escaflowne set is absolutely stunning. Now if one comes around for a show that I really hold on a personal pedestal, it would be very hard to resist owning it.

I would say it's just as bad. I'd expect the same for a badly out of sync dub track offset from the animation; I'll never watch it but it's rendering the release useless to (quite possibly) 50% of its potential audience and I'd expect it to be fixed.

Also there are people who watch the dub with subs on e.g. people who struggle with English or with hearing, which together form a statistically significant minority, especially when you might be watching the release with a friend or family member rather than alone. I can't watch English-language content without subtitles and neither will several of my extended family members, all for different but equally valid reasons.

Received my copy of Place Promised from HMV today! Really pleased with it and I can't wait to rewatch Place Promised (which has to be said is one of my favourite Shinkai movies) before seeing Your Name on Thursday. :)

Love the accompanying booklet as it was full of tiny bits of information I hadn't previously known, I especially love knowing that the team adopted and looked after a few cats during production lol.
 
I got a text saying that I'm going to receive a delivery for tomorrow via DPD, I'm guessing that's for MaiMai Miracle? I such a thing possible?!?

My FMA set arrived today! I got number 49 and my code name is the...Bewitching Cut Alchemist?!

No wonder customs opened it and looked inside. That name and then seeing the gate of truth in the box must have raised plenty of eyebrows. They must have been relieved when they found out what it really was.

"Oh wait, he's not a witch or an occultist, he's just an anime nerd." Lol.

Impossibru!!!! I didn't receive any form of notification! GAH.

On a serious note Andrew told me (at MCM) it would dispatch sometime this week hopefully.
 
It's funny because I just submitted my form yesterday, I actually forgot how Kickstarter worked! One of the first people to back it as well (No 8), would have been No 1 if I wasn't so OCD, having to make sure that I was backing the right one 10 times before submitting!

I trust you were the one replying to my mails.
I shipped the damaged Escaflowne collection back to the address you gave me.

But I never received a refund for the 100 kr the shipping cost me that I paid to return the damaged Escaflowne Collection.
On the contrary I received a paypal money request from alltheanime that they want me to pay them 100 kr.

I shipped back Escaflwone on November 14 and I have still not received a refund for the 100 kr.

Could you also please let me know when Alltheanime have received the damaged Escaflwne collelction and when a new one will be shippied out to me?
