UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

3) Brothers Conflict and Riddle - Will these be Anime Limited branded releases or just copies of the funimation release? Thanks.
Brothers Conflict - Old Amazon listing seems to be inactive now - New Listing is under the Funimation label.
Riddle - Should be Anime Limited label I'd imagine since they're self authoring. It also comes with CE packaging/artbook unlike Funi's DVD only release.

Saying that there will be audio based extras if Escaflonwne, and Death Parade will be released before the end of the year.

I'm really worried we seem to be getting four Ultimate Editions within such a short frame of time (FMA, Escaflowne, Eureka Seven, and Death Parade). They all seem due Q4.

(By worried, I mean my wallet)

Managed to ask some questions sent in by AUKN users.

1) - Samurai Flamenco Part 2: No definite date for it yet, but it is still in the works and they plan to release it, partly because Jeremy loves it.

2) - Releasing Shirobako? They really want to, but they don't have the licence for it yet.

Releasing the original Astro Boy? they would have to take all the financial things into consideration, but it was workable they would consider it.

No plans to release live-action Tiger and Bunny.

"plan to release it" is somewhat disconcerting to me. I guess part 1 didn't do too hot, but come on, we don't wan't AL ever dropping a two part series after one part, that just sucks for the market. The length of time it's taking to get this one out is a bit of a laugh tbh.

Implies no one else does either yet, which is pretty interesting as I figured Manga/Animatsu would have gotten it by now. Nice to hear Anime Limited are actually chasing it though, I hope it works out for them as a limited/ultimate edition would be amazing.

Thanks Ian. I'm also hoping we'll see Samurai Flamenco part two at some point since it was nuts and I need my collection completing. I wonder whether they're going to put it on Crunchyroll as part of the improvements in that relationship? It could really benefit from a bump in exposure from something like that tied in with the disc release.

By the way, I also got Gundam The Origin III (expect a review soon). I got 4 frames of animation too. Mine depicted Dozle.

Despite UPS providing the slowest delivery experience I have ever seen, I finally received my set today (walking 2 miles to collect it in person) and also got a four frame animation clip featuring Dozle.

Anime Limited Unboxing - Sword Art Online II: Part 4 Collector's Edition [Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack]

Having just realized that Arslan comes out at the start of July, I'm doing some budgeting for what I'm willing to spend on anime/games/other frivolous nonsense over the next month, and this brings me to a question, what the hell is going on with Miss Hokusai? Do we have a firm release date for the collector's edition? (Amazon says 14th of November but I'm not convinced that's accurate). Just I'm tempted by the early bird offer on Gundam too which is another cost I didn't account for, then I think I've found the first Gundam release with the box included, which is another cost, so would be nice to know as I thought Miss Hokusai was due out by now.

Toss it in with Samurai Flamenco Part 2 under the "**** knows when they're coming" banner. I'm waiting on the Collectors Edition, but apparently the standard edition was for sale at the last MCM. Apparently July was mentioned re: The collectors edition but nothing concrete for a long time.

Communication, or lack therof with regards to both titles is VERY disappointing.

I was working out what I was wanting to purchase in July the other day and noticed that Amazon's the only place that has it down as the 4th of July now , Everywhere else has got it as 25th . I did find that anime-on-line is the cheapest place Arslan at the moment .

Ah thanks for the heads up, I kinda hope that's accurate as 25th would be better for me as I hate having to dip into money I've marked to go into my savings. I had no idea it was so close in general, I only noticed when I was looking to see if Seraph part 2 had a release date yet.
