And the AL announced prices aren’t? Even if you assume it’ll be available at half the srp, that’s still over £20 for the standard edition alone.
I’ve not watched (or even unwrapped) the MVM versions (and I seem to have picked up both the CE and standard when cheap).
And three discs sounds rather identical to the existing MVM releases. So the only benefits are a shorter CE box or effectively just a re-issue of the compact standard.

Yeah pretty much.

MVM's is Limited edition with DVD and Blu-ray (probably used sentai as the source) and Booklet, but in a DVD sized case/artbox.
Its only down side was its DVD sized boxes which don't realy fit with the rest of your blu-ray collection.

AllTheAnime looks to be a Limited edition (LE with AllTheAnime tend to just be an art box and Blu-rays, where as collectors edition tend to have some extra like art books), so LE being just art box and blu-ray cases, im not really sure why it's a 2 blu-ray case for what ia assume is 3 discs.
And I would assume its sentai masters, but maybe theres a deal with sentia and MVM to allow MVM's disc to be used.

Also as mentioned earlier weird that they didn't steal their own french collectors/ultimate edition, but maybe al little late too the party for that level of treatment.

So yeah I'll be stickng with my MVM version as well, maybe I'll grab AllTheAnime in a christmas sale or something, but won't be easy to merge those 2 sets with the size diffences (pretty sure the book is DVD sized).

Yep, only ever buy standard editions, not fussed about collectors ones, always wait for the sale buy one get onr free, cex want £35 used for mvm version, hmmmm no

The multiple case explanation is given in the product details as to allow them to use all the artwork they have…
The French edition may have fancier (I like!) packaging, but people do tend to complain about shape and size of AL’s UE and CE, so the conservative release is somewhat understandable if they’re only doing an LE and standard.

Yes, seems a bit much for used standard, even if three disc. Perhaps I should sell my spare before the prices drop.
You could argue that the MVM one is ultimately the more desirable of the standards due to being both the original release and (IMHO) slightly nicer.
 
Love Gate and would be happy to double dip but no booklet and not even offering a digipack?

It just isn't worth it to double dip then if the MVM release is near better in every way then - granted the artbox looks a lot nicer in AL's one.

This seems definitely one to wait for a Christmas sale as I don't see it selling well as most people will have MVM's one and won't double dip.

I just find it odd that on the new CE the only artwork with an image of Rory is on Disc 3, and she's the smallest character shown.

I don't think anyone's petitioning for it to be split into 2 CE releases like the French version but the artwork used on those releases is far, far, far FAR! superior and would've been better than the art they used for both the art box and the amaray cases (god they're bad...).
They could use the argument 'this is all we were supplied' but as with the French release they already have that artwork and its been approved by the licensor for use by them 🤷‍♂️

It's just genuinely weird. AL seem to pick the worst most unappealing artwork recently Eminence in Shadow, Parasyte, putting the worst girl on Rent A Girlfriend YEAH I SAID IT!!

In the UK? likely
But as you are an international customer I might add that the German release is listed as EN/FR/DE/JP combo, and available via Amazon. Packaging is also identical, however the booklet might be non-English
(Shouldn't be that much of an issue, as description doesn't suggest it will contain text)

I’m curious if any others have had trouble reaching someone for order assistance. I’ve submitted two website tickets (the first going back almost a month now) and started two direct conversations with people listed as industry reps, yet total crickets. I think I’ve done more than what’s required on my end and I’m getting to the point where I’m considering involving my CC company, but I didn’t want to jump there because some of my fellow Discord members have advised I’ll be banned from AtA for doing that. I’d find it hard to believe they’re still processing tickets from 12/30, so is anyone else going through a similar experience? I like AtA and hope to continue supporting their business, but I would like some help now.

Yeah, you will.

They ignored me for over a month, so I raised a Paypal dispute. They ignored that for weeks, so I escalated it to a claim and got my money back.

AL have now deleted my account (they didn't even the courtesy - or guts - to tell me). I've spent thousands with them since 2015 and I was an Anime Unlimited Member (last renewed in October, so I won't even get the full year's benefits I paid for).

It's a shame our "relationship" has ended so badly all over £20-something. Absolute joke of a company!
