Rejoice! Now that I've spent a small fortune on this DVD set, you can all look forward to the long-standing rights issues surrounding the original Macross series to suddenly be resolved soon. No doubt an uncut, subtitled Blu-ray set will surely be announced shortly thereafter.
 
A load of pick ups from the last month, all though not that much anime.
Various PS1 games, monster hunter & Fairy Tail 2 from the game collection (went for the PS4 version as free upgrade and it'll match Fairy tail 1, Ryza 3 and sackboy from Cex)

The final part of monogatari I needed to complete, unicorn overlord & Brigandine are upgrades from standard editions, Shantae seven sirens CE and gonna try out some Posca pen for doodleing game art on plastic (previously been using just a variety of acrlic art pens)

I like Michael Mann.
Saw Black Hat a few years ago but there are loads of extras and 2 versions.
I think I watched Thief 35-40 years ago. Thought it was time to revisit. Again, loads of extras.

The crunchyroll sale has only given me Psycho Pass Providence. Virtually no extras on the Blu-ray so I went for the dvd at £5.99.
The box says it's Sibyl proof while the Blu-ray doesn't. So I thought the dvd would be safer for my hue.

I traded in a number of titles today and actually got decent prices for the most part with a voucher. I decided to use the voucher to re-buy two of the holy grails of games I used to own but regrettably sold when I was younger. I only had £2.00 to pay after the voucher so can't complain there. I'm never selling these again, that's for sure.

Macross Frontier movies. This is the "Shooting Star" boxset that I believe is the only release to include English subtitles. Also includes a hybrid PS3 bonus disc (untranslated) and two large-format artbooks.

This was my first time buying from Mandarake. Granted the item is 2nd hand, but it was insanely cheap for what's included. ¥4000 before shipping, so about £20. I'd expect to pay more than that for one of the artbooks! Of course shipping doubled the cost, but that's the importing life.

They must be very cautious about how they grade the condition of items. This was listed as 7/10, good condition, but aside from some shelf wear to the outer plastic bag the contents look almost untouched.

If you want to keep an eye out for this set on Mandarake, search for Macross F Shudista (or Shudisuta). That tends to be how they romanise the title.

Figured I'd get one more shot at Macross today, I got this same exact set used about 8 years ago and the 2 art books are more than worth the price of admission by themselves. It was the first set that I ever imported from japan.
 
2025 HAUL - JULY v4

Final two packages for the month of July. I got one more that arrived today for August's haul but that will be saved for tomorrow.

#10: Bleach Part 6 (not 5)
Nearing the end of the month we have a new Bleach release which is not Part 5, but rather Part 6. Now the reason for why this one arrived first was because Anime Limited has a rule where all items in an order have to be in stock before they are dispatched and unfortunately the other item that’s bundled with that release was I’m Standing on a Million-Lives which was supposed to have been released last May.

Anyway with Part 6 we have a new collector’s edition box set that will house Parts 6-9 of the limited edition sets. While there were comments about Anime Limited potentially improving the video quality of the latter half of the series, I don’t see that happening because of how fast these parts are arriving in the UK.

#11: Stellar Blade
And the final item of the month arrives on the final day of the month. From Korean developer Shift Up, the folks behind the very successful gacha game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, comes a sci-fi action RPG that has caught my attention for a while – Stellar Blade. The main reason why this took me a while to purchase was because it was pretty pricey for the most part. Amazon out of nowhere finally discounted the game to the £40 range and I went for it before it sold out. It did take a while to ship out but it’s here.
