#20: Ishiro Honda Double Feature & Mothra
Eureka Entertainment ran a sale on their website dedicated to Japanese films and they had two older releases that I had yet to pick up for the collection, both happen to be from Japanese director Ishiro Honda and are part of the Masters of Cinema range.

We have the Ishiro Honda Double Feature collection that includes the 1958 film The H-Man (美女と液体人間) and the 1959 film Battle in Outer Space (宇宙大戦争), both are science fiction stories that I hadn't heard of prior to Eureka's release, and this is the second print edition that doesn't include the slipcase but kept the booklet (which will go away in the next print run).

And there's also Mothra (モスラ), the 1961 Japanese film and debut of the iconic Kaiju monster. This is the standard edition version which loses the rigid slipcase but still comes included with a booklet (which will also go away in the next print run).

As a big Godzilla fan and someone who has seen Mothra quite a few times I can't see anything to do with the Mothra movie without hearing the song in my head. It's like a learned response. It's just so memorable. It's as the kids might say these days "a banger" 😅

I ordered S2 from Amazon.
S1, I ordered from the media blasters shop on eBay. It arrived today.
So now I got too many and spent too much.
Anyhoo, I now own 2 of the most inappropriate anime.
Kanokon is a DVD. Not sure if it's one of the on demand ones. I cut some of the cover as even I look at it and wonder, who thought that was a good Idea.

If it's old stock it'll probably be pressed discs, same if it's new stock as Media Blasters dropped burned dvd media 1 or 2 years ago due to complaints of incompatibility and playability with a lot of dvd players out there.

It plays fine in my Blu-ray player.
Nice set that includes plenty of extras.
I didn't realise the 6 OVAs are 25 minutes each.
 
Speaking of Media Blaster burned dvd media I made the mistake of buying the dvd set of Yamibo and the damn discs wouldn't play on any of my dvd players and the only bluray player that would was my Panasonic. Media Blasters said they would offer disc replacements but they never did.

I got my Sanrio speakers!! They are so fun and cute with remarkably decent sound quality considering they cost less than £9 each! The light shows are also really cool, my only complaint is you can't have both of them playing sound at the same time from the same device, so my plans of putting one in each room to play music/audiobooks from my laptop as I walk around my apartment for exercise are gonna need a lil tweaking, they're still really great though and I love the shell aesthetic. The necklace is also lovely and does fit round my relatively sturdy neck and do up comfortably, the Shein dress is nice but will prob give to charity as the fit's a little off, the Snag dresses are lovely though, just as nice as in the pics and I fancied up the purple one with a pin on brooch and some (also pin on) bows and wore it to my friend's place yesterday evening for a board games night. My order from Lolita Inside will likely arrive today so I'm v excited about that! :)

A couple of items from the Prime Day sales and a High Grade model kit of the YF-19 from Macross Plus. I've been a fan of that design since the 90s. The only reason I haven't bought a model of it previously is because I can't be bothered painting them anymore. 😅

Amazon, in their wisdom, shipped the kit in a paper bag, so the box is quite badly crushed and torn (I tried to straighten it out before taking the photo). Fortunately I can't see any damage to the kit itself.
 
Haven't picked up much recently as cutting back as realised i had nearly 350 anime collectors editions and needed to sell loads on vinted and prioritise stuff i actually want (huge amount of christmas mystery bundle and random stuff i picked up piled up over the years)

- but i picked up the shield hero s3 collectors recently in anticipation for the new season and am gonna pre order solo leveling collectors tonight

- if anyone has the our last crusade or rise of a new world American collectors edition in uk or the Arifueta s2 collectors - hit me up if want to sell as am looking to buy them
 
Recieved either today or yesterday, not sure as postman seen to be getting lazier and lazier
No card left but went out to backgarden 10 mins ago and were lying there in the sizzling sun,seems like he just threw it over the gate, id be surprised if they actually work as i didnt go in the backyard yesterday so may of been sat there for over 24 hours baking, and add insult to injury,spine of. Koyomimonogatari is damaged
