What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Ouch your not going run games that have forced ray tracing like doom the dark ages.
In addition, AMD GPUs do have RT cores of which the 780m has 12 which while about 4 less then the RTX3050 in my laptop can possibly run doom the dark ages better since it isn't bogged down with a 4GB VRAM limit

These lovely fruit themed washi tapes, I tested one on one of my sticker test pages and it also sticks and stays without glue better than some other washi tapes I have, colours are lovely and vibrant (also including my other sticker test page with the new stickers from yesterday as I didn't have room for it in my previous post) :)

I was in the mood for some cozy gaming so I picked up these three. Petit Island is a gorgeous little game that is really relaxing to play. Everafter Falls is a Stardew Valley type game with no stamina meter which makes it worth playing alone but I also really love the art style and great dialogue too. I haven't played Two Point Museum yet but I really like the other two games in the series and I have read sonme really good reviews so I'm sure I will enjoy it.

I have made a point of picking up all my favourite childhood movies on Blu-ray when I can and I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know that Ferngully had been released 😬 I have only seen the trailers for Touch and Dave Made a Maze but they both look excellent, they were all on sale which is always a good thing 😁

With the excitement from the release of the Switch 2 the other day, a couple of bits and pieces got left behind!

Last week, I recieved I am Blue, in Pain, and Fragile, a light novel by Yoru Sumino from Amazon UK and a copy of Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Volume 2 from Forbidden Planet.

I know many are older than me on here (no offence 🤭), but I can't believe I'm still collecting Naruto-related media and stories. I think back to first seeing the original Naruto series on some dodgy website when I was teenager and being totally transfixed, and here we are 15+ years later, reading stories about his children and the next generation.

Part of Kishimoto's message in the final volume of the Naruto manga has always stuck with me:

"I'd be honoured, if in the future, you occassionally recall that there once was a character named Naruto".

Like man, what a humble guy. Of course, millions of people around the world are going to remember the character named Naruto! I suppose it's a similar thing with Dragon Ball, that has also been with me and millions of others since their formative years.

Anyway, apologies for the tangent.

From Rarewaves, I recieved a copy of Vinland Saga Season 2 Part 2 on Blu-ray.

Three T-shirts from Temu arrived yesterday and they are awesome, I particularly like the strawberry camera girl and the purple goth one, but the girl w the cigarette is v cool too, just not colours I wear as much, but I will find things that match, darnit!

And my Stitch Spring cardigans arrived!!!! It took over 6 months but they are here and I absolutely love them they are beautiful w gorgeous embroidery, super soft cotton yarn, great pockets and the harlequin one has different colour buttons for each button... I am overjoyed, what lovely pieces and they are rly cosy to wear too I feel rly comfortable in both of them and am happily sitting here in the kitty one 🥰

EDIT: Also the sizing is generous - says 54 inches I think around the bust for the 2XL size I got and my bust is 56 inches but the fit is really good doesn't feel or look too tight :)

EDIT THE SECOND: The sleeves are pretty long though, I'm perfectly happy with that as it adds to the cosy oversized feel, but it's worth keeping in mind if you wanted to order one and are plus-sized but not v tall with the longer arms to "match" that :)

2025 HAUL - JUNE v2

More packages, including two from eBay which arrived pretty fast.

4K Haul - The Penguin 1.jpg

#03: Third Window Films Catch-up Haul
Last month Terracotta held a Third Window Films 20% off sale and that was a good opportunity for me to catch up on a number of their titles, and this trend continues here with another order sorted before the sale concluded.

From the retailer I picked three films. Satoshi Miki's 2007 film Adrift in Tokyo (転々), Eiji Uchida's 2017 film Love and Other Cults (獣道), and Yudai Yamaguchi's 2023 film One Percenter (ワンパーセンター). There was one other title that I wanted but they didn't have it in stock and I suspect it's also unofficially out of print so I had to go onto eBay to pick up Norihiro Niwatsukino's 2016 film Suffering of Ninko (仁光の受難).

And with that, that just leaves Onoda: 10,000 Nights in the Jungle and Your Lovely Smile as well as upcoming releases like The Box Man as the remaining Blu-ray (non-kickstarter) releases left to get before I own all of their titles on that format. Looking forward to the upcoming box sets.

#04: Hardboiled: Three Pulp Thrillers by Alain Corneau
So when I ordered Suffering of Ninko it was actually part of a £10 off promotion for using the eBay app and to reach the threshold I also ordered Radiance Films' limited edition box set for Hardboiled: Three Pulp Thrillers by Alain Corneau which was pretty convenient as I wanted to own this release.

Getting the obvious out of the way, this is the US version of the release but the discs are still Region AB like the UK one. The difference is that one of the films included in this set is fully uncut as the BBFC requested cuts in order to make it available over here.

The films included in this package, from French director Alain Corneau, is Police Python 357 from 1976, Série noire from 1979, and Choice of Arms from 1981. All share the action thriller theme which is what got me interested in this release. Interestingly Radiance Films decided to simplify the box set even further by having all three films inside a single Scanavo case (one disc per film) so it's the same size as Planet of the Vampires.

Looks like I forgot to post this one here last week, I could have sworn I did, but - I received one anime Steelbook from Amazon US on Friday 6/6, it comes with a thick booklet inside a plastic slipcover:

The Dangers in My Heart Season 1 Collector's Edition Steelbook

From Amazon.

Naruto - 3 Movie Collection (BD)

1000014918.jpg

This didn't include a slipcover unfortunately but none of the other Naruto releases I own do either so it isn't the end of the world. If AL license these I'll likely re-buy them and sell this as AL's release would be more consistent with their BD's of the series I'd imagine.

From  CeX.

Macross Plus (DVD)

1000014919.jpg

I found this in CeX today for £3.00 and considering for the foreseeable future it seems the OVA version of Plus will be exclusive to the Ultimate Edition on blu-ray I thought I might as well grab this to own a copy even if the quality isn't great. I still plan to buy the movie version on blu-ray though once it's released as a standard edition.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (Wii U) and Sonic Free Riders (X360)

1000014920.jpg

Picked up two more Sonic racing games for £5.00 each. Transformed I've played on PC but I wanted a physical copy for the collection and Sonic Free Riders is more just for the collection as I don't own a Kinect or an Xbox 360 itself. There is a no Kinect mod on PC though which I've heard is the definitive way to play the game which I plan to play eventually.
