Your viewing journal

I constantly wonder if you notice how this thread has always been used to make a note of anime you have watched, and how your posts are a more different version of that.

Does it really make a difference? I mean a lot of people just post the title and episodes of the stuff they've watched so whether they have watched or intend to watch seems rather irrelevant. It's a viewing journal, and like any journal it can document what has happened or what someone intends to do.
I like the crazy notion that a forum can generate discussion.

"How did you like ep 12 of Rurouni Kenshin?" doesn't really fly if the answer is "I don't know yet you idiot, as I said I'm watching it tomorrow". :p

True lol, I would like to think so too, but as I said, considering this part of the forum is generally not especially discussive anyway, no harm in continuing a theme I guess.

original FMA disc 3 and season 4 disc 2 of bleach tomorrow.

watching the first 2 discs of FMA really brings back nastalga, its one of the series that was on perpeler tv ages back.

It was on RaptureTV, not Propeller. Propeller had ADV's Anime Network. But yeah...good times. I still remember Mezzo DSA.

Sound of the Sky episodes 1-5

I finally got disc 1 to work on my blu-ray player and I have this to say: Before, when I gave the series a 10/10, I was watching it in standard definition. Seeing the series upscaled, to say I have been blown away despite this being my THIRD time viewing the series (and probably my 5th watching episodes 1 and 2) is an understatement. As I'm writing this, I'm looking at the disc's title screen and I'm still absolutely amazed with it.

Sound of the Sky is perfection. I'm a guy who despises giving anything a perfect score in a review, but as people who knew me when I first watched the series found out, I found myself unable to give it anything but.

Tales from Earthsea

Solid movie, unfortunately I was a victim of multiple interruptions throughout so it kind of threw me off-balance which means I'll have to rewatch it again sometime

(1 day behind on the Ghibli, recording them all though already seen Cagliostro and I wanted to get it on DVD anyway!)

Solid movie

*horrified gasp* I did not like it at all. It was boring as hell, none of the characters were interesting and the plot was cliché. A cliché plot can work if the setting/ characters are interesting, but they just weren't...

Hayate no Gotoku (Hayate the Combat Butler) - Having my 2nd attempt at watching this series. I've had it for over a year now. It's been exactky a year since I watched the first three episodes and stopped watching it. Mainly because I wasn't in the mood at the time. I'm 4 episdes in and enjoying far more now. Mustn't have been in the mood last Xmas. *shrugs*

Also finished watching Blue Gender. Must admit it felt a little rushed in the last two episodes. Seeing as though it felt well paced throughout. Still, a good series though.

i agree it kinda dose rush a lil in the last 2 episodes but it is a great series non the less

disc 4 of the original FMA and disc 3 of bleach season 4 tomorrow.

i agree the filler kinda pointless in bleach but it fun to watch.
FMA really dose bring back good memorys. i love all the voices and the animations still as good

Finished 'Season one' of Dragonball (Z) Kai. All 26 episodes.

Haven't seen any of Z since it originally finished on Cartoon Network all those years ago. I enjoyed it, and the chat that was left in felt well paced in comparison to the action.

It was also a massive butchering of the first three books. Chucking in elements of one and two for the third book was NOT a good idea. Sparrowhawk... what did they do to you? :(

Sound of the Sky 6-9 (incl. OVA 7.5)

Still loving this series. I started watching it alone and when I finished, I noticed my Mum and little brother were watching too xD

Watched EVA2.22, from the point of view of someone who's never watched the original its a bit of a strange one and it definately feels like part two, more so than a standalone. It looked pretty, although some of the musical choices were just bizarre, and the choice at the end was almost enough to take away from the scene as the music just seemed wrong.

Still an enjoyable watch, although probably not one ill return to until I do a marathon of all 4 movies.

7/10

Only downside was audio dropped for a second near the end so looks like my brand new perfect looking bd isn't quite as perfect as I'd hoped!

Now that will make your thoughts very interesting to read. I don't think I know of another person who's following the rebuild but hasn't seen the original. At least, not around here. I could be wrong though.

I don't recall noticing an audio drop - where exactly does it take place? I'll check my BD.
