Chihayafuru ep 1

Hmm. Hmmmmmm. I'm having an interesting reaction to this one. I quite like it! It feels like the kind of show that will fall nicely into what I like...But I can't actually put my finger on why I like it so far. The style and music work quite well together and is very pleasant. For me so far it feels like it has a strong premise behind it with seeing the grown up part and the kids part. It could become quite emotional this one.

Persona 4 ep 4

So yeah they did rush through to get the main 4 established. I'm alright with that despite cutting some stuff out. I'm interested in seeing how they go from here though as it feels like if they just stuck to the storyline stuff then they could squeeze it into 13 episodes whilst making some sacrifices...The bit with Pyro Jack was kind of a neat touch although the random rolling of Persona's feels a bit weird.

Well, we're up to episode 9 now and they haven't even gotten into Rise's TV section yet, so if it is 13 episodes it'll either be incredibly rushed from now on or halve the story like what happend to Star Ocean EX.

Or... wait for a second season.

K-On! 1-11

The first four episodes were pleasant enough to watch while not being especially funny, but the laughs started coming once the teacher had a more prominent role. She so crazy. And so is Ritsu, who reminds me of a slightly less Satanic Miu from Strawberry Marshmallow, another show about cute girls doing cute things and one I slightly prefer over K-On for its more mean-spirited/vicious humour.

But even though K-On is rarely hilarious, there's definitely something about the show. It doesn't hurt that the character designs are exceedingly cute, cavity cheeks notwithstanding, and the character animation is of Kyoto Animation's usual high standard. K-On is well produced, sharply written, and thoroughly loveable.

Also this:

If cute could kill I wouldn't be sitting here now, typing this.

Kimi to Boku e10 - This show is just flat-out easy to watch, and the development of Chizuru and Misaki's relationship has been cutely handled. There are still some things that raise one or two eyebrows, but overall this has been a far smoother production than many more high-profile efforts.

I'm so proud. :s

Blue Gender EP1-23 - Finally got round to watching this series after having had it in my collection for longer than I remember. Once again I'm wondering why it took me so long, as I'm very mych enjoying the series. Giant killer bugs and lots of death. Starship Troopers eat your heart out.

Also recently watched Noein after getting the boxset in a sale. £4.99! It was ok I guess. Kinda wished I'd watched it subbed rather than dubbed first though. Felt like something didn't feel right. :S

Is the Agatha Christie series any good? I remember seeing a snippet of it one time and not quite being able to get my head around the idea of an anime Poirot...
yeah it is a charming little series, now i,m no massive Agatha Christe fan,but these episodes are faithful adaptions of her work but aimed at a younger audience with the introduction of Miss Marples niece who is Poirot,s assistant in the series, anyway i,m enjoying it so far,its fun, charming and a nice change of pace from the hussle and bussle of most modern shows so i,d recommened it if you like a good detective series and if you have any interest in Agatha Christies work i,m sure you,ll love these animated adventures of two of her most loved characters.

Un-Go 8-9

Okay, this series is finally getting pretty good. Like how for now at least, the episodic nature has gone and we have a story that goes on for more than a single episode. It was fairly obvious though that Kaishō would be a suspect at some point though. Un-Go 9 has an iPad that can survive water. Get on that Apple!

Still think Kazamori is adorable.
