Puella Magi Madoka Magica eps 10, 11, 12 - ...

Nichijou ep 1 - Sometimes, gentle comedy can provide just as many belly laughs as more obvious gags, and I think this show has that on the basis of the first episode. Mai-chan leading my early rankings.

Showa Monogatari ep 1 - if you like your Japanese period pieces, and I do, then I guess you have to watch this. First ep didn't exactly thrill me and non of the characters immediately stand out, but the flavor of the show is definitely appealing.

Hanasaku Iroha eps 1 & 2 - Ohana is hilarious (some of the facial expressions and poses she pulls...) and (perhaps in many ways) special, but oh my days Minko... perfect character design and voiced by Omigawa Chiaki, instantly fallen in love with her. That the show is stunningly beautiful should go without saying, but the extent to which the visuals have been crafted demands as much attention as it gets. This is definitely going to be a runner for my favorite show of the season.

Is that a sign of disappointment or were you in awe on how awesome Homura Akemi was :D

Without Wings episode 3 (Dropped) - No redeeming quailties at all from this terrible Harem mess, it's awfully boring and all over the place. I just can't be bothered with it now.

Hanasaku Iroha episode 4 - Still entertaining and tense. A bit predictable this time but it sets us up for some interesting episodes, still think Ohana is one of the best female characters this season ^_^.

Hidan no Aria episode 2 - Painfully generic now, I absolutely love the premise but everything in it so far has had the J.C.Staff cliches i've come to know. Lack of action is also worrying that this series will be average at best, which I hope is not the case.

Battle Girls - Time Paradox episode 3 - Why.....WHY? I was expecting a very awesome tactical battle against two warlords Yoshimoto & Nobunaga but instead Hideyoshi recommended's them play various games to win the armour part. I mean they play Beach Volleyball for christ sake.

I really shouldn't be taking this series seriously now but it's that silly.

Nichijou eps 2, 3, 4 - Show is just too funny, but I don't love the Hakase/Nano sections as much as the ones with the main girls. Necessary, though, for a bit of variety.

There are just literally no words for how amazing the last three eps were, especially episode 10. I now eagerly await the first BD volume later this week along with the drama CD. ^_^

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi eps 1 & 2 - Oh, wow, seriously? I guess they still make these shows. What I don't know is whether this would have actually been good or not even ten years ago. Ignoring the really poor bits, Ibuki is pretty good and there was randomly some amusing humor ("annta no otouto ga konna ni kawaii wake ga nai!!"), so I might carry on with it but really this season is too full of stuff for me to actually care.

Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai II eps 1, 2, 3 - Sploodge worthy mini-arc girl (wonderfully voiced by Koshimizu Ami, this show really pulls out all the stops for guest seiyuu) to get things going, and the main event (ie. Haqua) is as good a mix of sexy and moe as you'll find. Continues its strong end to the first season.

Ore-tachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai ep 1 - Sometimes, great things are hiding in the shadows of fear and apprehension. Get over those, and this might be the secret hidden so-bad-it's-good gem of the season.

Sixteen episodes in the last day and a half has me feeling a bit more "into" this season, and without having even started at least three or four shows that I expect to be very good, so I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica 11-12.

Loved LOVED this series, really enjoyed it throughout and it has been bashed by some people but I really did enjoy it.

OreTsuba eps 2 & 3 - OK, this is definitely entertainingly stupid enough to keep me watching. It could be the sheer wtf aspect of 90% of the scenes, it could be the blatant DRRR!! parody, it could be the great attitude of... uh.. one of the girls. Still haven't quite locked all the names down in this show. ^^; But there's definitely something to it.

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi episode 3 - I'm a bit more forgiving for this Harem anime because the main character seems to really care for his younger brother and some moments are generally funny.

I will give this Harem series a full watch but I hope that it's more satisfying than Fortune Arterial was (really hated the ending).

Astarotte's Toy episode 3 - While some strange age issues are shown here, Astarotte's Toy still seems to be more entertaining for some reason. Another main character is introduced and again she is likeable and confident.

It's a series that is very wrong yet on the outside, (somehow) its good hearted on the inside. I still would like to watch more.

Mariaholic Alive episode 3 - Loved everything about this episode, the comical timing was excellent, the OP and ED are entertainly varied and the hunger jokes were hilarious ^_^

Loved the CSI Miami joke at the end as well.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko 1-2:

Wasn't expecting much, (has the makings of moemation all over it) but the animation is great (SHAFT so no real surprise there), voice acting too and so far the story has been entertaining. Male lead has the Kyonesque cynical inner-narrative going on, which is always a major plus.

Hanosaku Iroha 1-4:

had mixed feelings coming into this too, but this show is developing into an enjoyable watch. Four eps released so far and it certainly needed that time to develop.

Also just re-watched first few eps of Nichijou...Sakamoto is King of All.

Watched a few movies recently. Haven't been able to get into a series for a while. Order as viewed:

Summer Wars (freakin awesomness)
Eden of The East the Movie I: The King of Eden
Tokyo Godfathers
Origin: Spirits of the Past
My Neighbor Totoro
Appleseed (2004)
Appleseed Saga Ex Machina
Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade

Ano Hi mita Hana no Namae wo, Boku-tachi wa mada shiranai ep 1 - I actually had to watch this in five minute segments with long gaps inbetween, because if I'd watched it straight through my brain might have melted from too much awesome in one go. I am retroactively downgrading every other ep 1 I have seen this season, because they weren't even close to this. Even just from watching 30 seconds of it, you can tell from the way it instantly builds atmosphere and sense of place that it is going to be epic.

Hidan no Aria episode 3 - It feels quite unnatural for Aria to be less tsundere since last episode she was full of it.

This episode is basically a tribute to the movie "Speed" which I kinda felt like they did....in....the....first...episo-, dammit will this anime stop referencing Speed please.

Apart from that it was a better episode this time but still has that tendency to be boring.

A-Channel episode 4 - Just wasn't laughing really, it's decent at times but I can't really get into it. They really should drop those montages in the middle/end of every episode because i'm just going to skip them.

Ahohana episode 3 - Tetsudo seems to be my favourite of the group so far, has a really fun personality.

Still this episode still molds comedy and drama really nicely, plus with an unexpected revelation keeps me interested.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko episode 3 - Erio and Makoto chemistry really does shine when there together, the last part was very sweet. The anime is very interesting so far, which i'm really glad it's turned out that way! Also: DELOREAN
