The idea of a BBFC criteria amuses me.

Also, Ayase mentioned censors. How does this censorship works in UK? My understanding is that most distributors censor themselves in order to get lower age rating for whatever they are releasing, as it increases their revenue.

Isn't that always the case, except for pornography?
Not always. While this is broadly the case (which more or less means greedy distributors kowtowing to the BBFC anyway), but there have been some notable examples of actual "censorship" in the BBFC forcing cuts regardless of age certification and outright banning films / games. In this day and age to carry on with the attitude that the censors have some kind of moral authority over others and know what's best for the public is just archaic.

Links probably NSFW (now there's another thing that pisses me off but I feel obliged to mention it...)

And you only tell me the links aren't safe after I've clicked on them and got a HUGE WARNING on my screen, screaming thought my speakers that I'm trying to access adult material!?
glad I didnt even blink, otherwise my boss would turn and see what I was seeing (as it happened the other day when I said WTF for some images in the general conversation thread....)

Only because you read the text in the order I typed it chaos...

 Sorry.

Good God, what is with the f*cking morality police at workplaces as well!? So people are fine to waste their days away at places like AUKN but look at something "adult" and it's suddenly a big deal? As long as it isn't illegal (and could therefore get the company into trouble) why does it even matter...

Does make me wonder why the even allow people to access the internet beyond sites needed for work at all... not that I'm suggesting they do this of course. ;)

It doesn't seriously give an audible warning does it chaos? That just sounds like something from a comedy sketch (or a dystopian future film where upon hearing the alarm security guards drag you off for re-education).

Not really. I just remembered some website that started screaming "hey everybody, I'm looking at gay porm" if you tried to hack it. Don't ask ;)

Gankutsuou eps 13-18

Well....That was rather good. I was happy that we learnt Haidees past but I'm also glad we found out about what the Count is up to. I've been hoping for some form of a happy end...But I get the feeling that isn't coming. I really want Eugenie and Albert to be together at the end but after 18 then I don't expect it to happen. I expect more disaster for Albert to come...

K-On 5

This is getting addictive...I think I might be enjoying it more than Gankutsuou!

Kidding Aion! :p

I almost raged at you now =P

Anyway, glad you're enjoying Gankutsuou. As for its ending I'll just say taht whatever has to happen in it, happens. Maybe not the way one would expect, but its a really great ending.

And how do you like the art in it? I find its avant garde style something else.

Kannazuki no Miko 1-2

Good Lord. kannazuki no Miko is very much a case of a writer throwing crap against a wall and seeing what sticks. It's all over the place. The sub-par artistry, bland character designs, generic dance op/ed songs, and awful dialogue don't help. But it does have girls kissing and the potential to be so relentlessly terrible that it may actually have some entertainment value.

The highlights of the series are the love triangle and the lesbian rape (not shown, though there is a pretty damned good doujin). Evil blue haired girl is hot.

Heh. I'm not trying to stir things up intentionally but I thought I might get a few raised eyebrows with this joke :p

I struggled with the style in the first few episodes. Luna in particular. But after that it gelled and I have no problem with it. Infact it's quite beautiful in it's own way. Especially the episodes where it seems more budget has been used (Oh Gonzo. I won't forget that early episode in Samurai 7...) I plan to finish this up (hopefully) in the next few days.
