The dub was pretty good, but Crunchyroll not putting up sign translations means someone new to the show will miss things! This my third time though (think that's a new personal record for a series) and I've read the manga, so it didn't matter as much.

Sgt Frog episodes 25-40: and after nearly 16 hours we're done with disc 1! Definitely happy with this purchase as I will need a couple of runs to catch all the visual jokes. Will also have to watch it subbed as I get the feeling there is at least another layer that the dub is missing. Just another 11 episodes and I can consider buying series 2, and then the long wait for series 3-7 to be released.
 
The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat (English subbed) - Bought this on MVMs DOTW thinking it would probably be good based on the MAL score - it's actually an excellent show IMO, really enjoyed it, and I would advise prospective viewers who may be eyeing the show dubiously not to be put off by the title or aspects of the premise, as I found it to be moving, heartfelt, beautifully visualised, funny and fairly sex-positive, the male MC was also vastly less of a sexist ass than one might assume or be used to in these kinds of shows. This is the kind of rom-com-slice-of-life thing that JC Staff made very well repeatedly during the 00s and early 2010s and I'm super glad I took a chance on it, was definitely worth the 15 quid, the Japanese VAs all did a stellar job with their roles as well :)

Currently I am aiming to watch (at least) two episodes of subbed anime per day as it does kinda demand my full attention, so hopefully I will work my way through a few more of the sub-only/better subbed than dubbed anime in my backlog soon and post about them here :)
 
I very rarely come here anymore because I have many other things to do but I've been on a Fairy Tail binge trying to watch the 18 sets I got a few years ago but never got around to watching. I normally hate shonen crap but this is the one series that I like.

Curious to know if you have seen Eden's Zero and if so what you thought of it as same creator? :)

The first 2 segments were hilarious taking the piss out of fanservice whilst showing plenty of fanservice and I mean plenty 😏 After those 2 I thought the 3rd would be an over the top parody of Food Wars after the set up, but it was rather tame in comparison to both that show and the rest of the OVA, but was still funny.

Evangelion 3.x: Infinity War

Having had bits and pieces of this one spoiled for me over the years, I had a rough idea of what to expect going into it, but even at that, I found myself quite confused, at least for the first half, of this third instalment in the rebuild series.

I didn't hate it, I certainly thought it was a good looking film (moreso than the previous one), but for a long time, I was unsure about what was happening and what was at stake, then by the time I felt like I had a handle on it, it ended, and I was left with a slight sensation of the film existing only to set things up for the fourth one.

Chainsaw Man ep2

Power is fun, but I suspect Denji's incredibly passive nature might begin to grate on me after a while. We'll see.

A series of shorts where a number of different girls do ASMR. Most were of them playing around with a dummy head mic, but a couple were ordinary situations. Quite nice with headphones on, but no story at all really.

Well, that was a thing that happened. Beyond the fact that the gangs have been replaced with cafe maids, this seems to be a pitch perfect recreation of 70s yakuza drama and I am cautiously onboard for that. This might actually be what I wanted from Lycoris Recoil (maybe?)

Urusei Yatsura (2022) ep2

This continues to be very pretty, but the negative comments I've seen about the comic timing are still gnawing at my mind and possibly colouring my impression of the series. I did enjoy the first story with Sakura though. I think these are still episodes I remember from the original version, so I'd at least like to give it long enough to see something entirely new before considering not sticking with it.
