This show was great. Really enjoyed the mix of characters, the action was good and clever, the world building and lore was nicely handled. Would definitely want to watch if a second season got made.

A fun take on the stranger comes to town setup with a calligrapher from Tokyo living in a rural island. Great iyashikei elements and a wacky cast of characters to not only torment our struggling protagonist but help in his development through the series. Fantastic stuff.

As a side note I was getting odd Macross Delta vibes through the series until I realised they share the same character designer. Really like Majiro's designs.
