Haha I was definitely watching the one That Was. It definitely had vibes of Testament of Sister New Devil. Lots of action and fighting but also lots of aggressive boob groping. Essentially hardcore softporn. It was absurd for sure and a way more interesting/serious story could be told from the premise of Lucifer falling from heaven and fighting for dominion of hell but I was still entertained for the most part though some parts went too far. Gross ferryman being a prime example of too far.

Yeah even with the show being what it was that ferryman felt out of place. At least he was only in one episode!
 
Babylon eps 1-3
Now this is back on schedule I thought I'd start it. I ran out of time to watch ep 4, but there's more than enough to mull over in the first 3 shows. And boy it escalated quickly from a fraud case to a murder case after suspicious suicides to a case of a megalomaniacal genius taking over a city!

That's 4 detective shows (this, Special 7, NGL and Sherlock) I'm watching, plus one dropped and one I'm yet to start in Psycho Pass 3!
 
Ace of Diamond: Act II episode 31 That goofy smile made the episode.

Bananya and the Curious Bunch episode 5 Mystery house.

Black Clover episode 107 Slasher.

An American Werewolf in London (Film)

Midori Days episodes 11-13 (Complete. A series that makes the most of its weird premise, though the fan service felt pretty random and I got the sense that the anime cut out an arc of two get to the conclusion so I may check out the manga one day.) 3/5

When They Cry episodes 21-26 [End]
An entertaining horror mystery series that provides great twists and character development. The music is also pretty great coming from Kenji Kawai also known for Fate/Stay Night, another VN adaptation produced by Deen in the same year. My only issues with the series concern the character designs and unintentional comedy. Overall a great watch for the Halloween season. Season 2 should be just as good. 8/10
 
I've been rewatching Hellsing Ultimate lately, and I'm up to episode VI. Largely entertaining, even if maybe not as good as I remember it to be. Comedy bits remain mostly unfunny, but massacre fight scenes are a joy to behold with lots of violence and over the top action.

It's a fair bit nonsensical, but seems aware of it, for the most part.

Norio Wakamoto as Anderson is delicious and the funniest part of the series.

Fake news. The comedy is very good in this show with the 4th wall breaks and the return of bench-kun.

Maho Girls Pretty Cure episodes 1-5
While waiting for new episodes of Star☆Twinkle I might as well start another Pretty Cure series. This is pretty fun so far and the with academy theme makes it rather similar to Little Witch Academia. The fight scenes are lacking in comparison to other series I've watched so hopefully they get better with time but at least the character moments make up for it.

The start of another tournament. This time against another school. The events start in a very Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire kind of a way with a surprise reveal of the MCs as their schools representatives!

The subtitles are borked on Funimation, there's about half a minute delay between hearing the line and the subs. Tried elsewhere, seems they just copied the video straight without fixing them. So this'll have to wait.
