This was just like fanservice overload and didn't work very well. I expect this series would work better in manga form where its more of a comedy.

Whisper of the Heart (sub)
I completely forgot this was set at middle school. The romance aspect seemed a lot more rushed than I remembered as well. It isn't until halfway through the film that Shizuku finds out his name! And then at the end he proposes to her! I think the dub has it better with "could you see us getting married someday?' Although maybe that's just a Western point of view.
It was the finding a future to aim at part that captivated me more this time round.

Breaking through psychological barriers, a suddenly remembered childhood promise, training montage and winning against the the super awesome team who annihilated you earlier because yah teamwork!
A sports anime which was almost nothing but tropes. The characters were OK and the art and direction were pretty good with the animation also mostly good with the occasional choppyness.
