Interviews with Monster Girls ep2

It went over my head while watching, but I heard someone point out that the Dullahan character is actually facing a much different, more subtle form of discrimination than the characters in Monster Musume, so I may have been a bit quick to dismiss this as a 'me too' effort. Also this episode just felt a bit more assured than the first one.

KonoSuba - Episode 10 - A fun ending to a fun show, not exactly something that's gonna go down as a classic but I liked it a lot for what it is and would buy if someone over here picked it up. Megumin was definitely my favourite, speaking of which it took 10 episodes for me to realize that it was Megumin, Darkness and Aqua singing the ending theme....no idea how I didn't notice tbh lol.

Blue Exorcist-Episodes 22-25 (Rewatch) (Complete)

Yeah, I still don't get the hate for the anime ending. I just don't. Sure, it's not perfect, Yukio acts a bit out of character, and the grandpa character was added in too late into the show, but it still made for a somewhat satisfying ending. I liked the backstory of Yuri and Satan (although how that pregnancy actually happened is a question I still have left, but perhaps that's better unanswered) and how it gave Satan motivation for taking over Assiah other than, you know, he's Satan. Trying to add depth to a character who is normally portrayed as just pure evil is admirable, and I think that it was done well here. I suppose there is still unanswered questions, mostly what Mephisto and Amaimon were actually trying to do, but considering this was is an adaptation of an ongoing series, I think having unanswered questions is to be expected. So yeah, I ended up enjoying this show a fair bit more the second time around, I'm glad I gave it another shot. I'll catch up on the first two episode of Kyoto Saga tomorrow in preparation for episode 3 on Friday.

Gabriel Dropout-Episode 2

Second episode was even funnier than the first, I'm really enjoying this. Satania is the best. No, not the fish.

Code Geass: LeLouch of the Rebellion R2-Episodes 1-3

At first I thought they were just gonna not resolve that cliffhanger at all. Thank God they did. I've heard people complain that the resolution was disappointing, but I'm not exactly sure what people were expecting? Like, it was fairly obvious that all the main leads weren't going to blow up when there's a whole second season. Anyway, I found the curveball in episode one to be pretty amusing, and it certainly threw me for a loop. The brother character is certainly an interesting one. Quite peeved at what they've done with Lelouch's relationship with Shirley. Resetting it back to where it was back at the start of S1 just totally nullifies everything that happened between the two. I was a pretty big fan of their rather bittersweet relationship, but now it's all been rendered moot.

Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga-Episodes 1 and 2

I thought that opening episode could have done a bit of a better job at establishing what exactly is and isn't canon from Season 1. I mean, it made no difference to me because I already knew, but if I was just a casual fan, I'd have been confused as hell as to why Rin couldn't light those candles when he was shown to have good control of his flames at the end of S1 and why all the cram school students are afraid of him again after the end of S1 had them all becoming friends again. Personally, I think they should have opened on a 'Previously On' segment, which recapped all the events up to episode 17 of S1, to clearly establish exactly where it's picking up. Oh well, on the plus, Shiemi's new haircut is adorable.

ACCA 13-Episode 2

Still a bit of a slow burner, but it's still enjoyable. I do wonder if it will keep up the rather slow pace or if it will pick up at some point.

I think they tried to pretend the non canon stuff doesn't exist same as they did for BB

I think people prefer this way.

People are idiots. Plain ignorance of events that happen is just a terrible way to deal with it. As I say, it will just confuse and alienate casual fans who just want to go from one season to another without having to research what is and isn't canon. It's also just rather lazy. I'm not even asking them to have the non-canon stuff be incorporated into canon, but just indicate in some way to the audience when the sequel takes place, and what has and hasn't happened from the prior series. It's not so bad with BB because, if I recall, the whole of S1 is canon, and it's only S2 that isn't, so S3 can just continue from where S1 left off, but with BE it's more difficult because S1 is a mix of both canon and non canon material.

Black Butler was confusing too (fortunately I was already reading the manga) as the end of s1 was all made up contradictory nonsense that had to be rebooted entirely. I don't read the Blue Exorcist manga and can confirm that the s2 transition was sort of weird, exactly as Lemon described.

Fate/Grand Order: First Order - It actually took me 3 separate sittings to get through this, while I don't think it was bad it wasn't particularly good either, meh would be a fitting description tbh. That said I didn't expect much from it anyway so whatever.

Natsume's Book of Friends season 2: eps 1-13 (complete)
Really getting into this now, great continuation from season 1, all the characters come together great and it's got a real feel good vibe about it. Still 3 more seasons to watch and now it's HD quality so improved eye candy animation one would hope.
