Bleach-Episodes 330 and 331

The EDs starting to recap the series are pretty cool. Kind of a trip down memory lane seeing footage from the earlier seasons. Does anyone else feel like the artstyle got worse when the show shifted into HD? Like, I've only recently noticed, but for some reason all the faces got kind of long.

Natsume's book of friends season 1-13 complete
Quite enjoyable, can't help but say it's very similar to mushi-shi which is one of my favourite anime. Still have 4 more seasons to watch so I hope it only gets better from here. Also naynko-sensei is my spirit animal.

Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga ep 1 - No surprises here, since I've already read this arc, let's just wait and see how they will fit it in only 12 eps

The Heroic Legend of Arslan part 1 - eps 18-21 (started so well but lately is dragging a lot imo, hope these last 4 eps will be better with the next battle)

Genroku Era Lover's Suicide Through Rakugo 2nd Season ep 1 - Seriously, people that didnt watch the 1st season need to give this one a go, I didnt really care about it until I heard someone talking good about it. Gave it a shoot and oh boy I'm so glad I did. So different from everything else. The 1st season was considered one of the best from winter 2016. MAL score of 8.61 pretty much shows that.

Oh and about 2n season, 1st ep didnt let me down. Awesome. Cant wait for more this weekend.

Saga of Tanya the Evil ep 1 - the girl is a b*tch ahah this might be good

Onihei ep 1 - Much better than what I was hoping. Finally it looks like we might have a decent samurai show again.

Scum's Wish ep1

If I was being particularly unkind, I'd accuse this of being ToraDora for edgelords, but I think basically it's just not my thing. It's more explicit than I was expecting, which is novel, and the art is nice enough, but I think I'd be more open to it as a one-off film than a series - I don't relish the prospect of bathing in this for 12 episodes.
 
Eps 8-13 of God Eater (complete)...this needs a second season
Ep 1 of Super Lovers 2....i kyaaaa'ed a lot during this episode. Glad to have the brothers back
Ep 1 of elDLIVE...really not sure what to make of this. I'll give it a couple more episodes.

Out of interest, in what ways is it explicit?

Am I right in thinking this is one of these shows where a lot of the audience criticism is about the characters all being horrible unlikable people?

If so it might be worth me checking out, sounds like the sort of thing I might enjoy.
 
Scum's Wish (Kuzu No Honkai) ep1: Managed to get this on the very last day of my free Prime subscription and really liked it, which sucks for me since I don't want to pay £79 to continue watching. Congrats to Amazon for making simulcasts more expensive than CE Blu-ray sets I guess. I feel like this is the kind of title which resonates with a certain type of person's sense of nostalgia like all of those Flowers Of Evil and Ping Pong fans described, except this time it's actually to my taste. The sexy scene was awkward and horrible, just as I like it. Perhaps I am an edgelord.

Marginal #4 ep1: Exactly the kind of trashy nonsense I was expecting, show of the season 10/10 (not really but I did enjoy it).

Chaos;Child ep1: I like how they started out by making me sit through Chaos;Head all over again so I could remember how much I hated Chaos;Head. Not really my cup of tea at all.

Bleach-Episodes 332-334

I totally thought Nozomi was going to kiss Kon. That'd have been weird.

Blue Exorcist-Episodes 10-12

Okay, so I'm almost certain I'm past the point where I was fairly bored of the show last time, as I remember the amusement park episode being particularly uninteresting, although this time I'm far more on board, so that's a positive sign. I think I do remember what put me off though, and it's episodes like episode 11, the beach episode. They seem a lot like filler, even if they are based on manga chapters. However, these episodes are far less frequent than I recall. The only real episode that have felt like filler thus far are said beach episode and the chef episode from earlier on.

Fuuka-Episode 3

Well, the relationship in this show is looking to be pretty cute. I think the end of this episode introduces a conflict that could potentially be interesting, seeing as Koyuki is going to be a romantic rival for Fuuka, yet she's also someone Fuuka idolises and looks up to.

Wouldn't describe them as that exactly, more just that I couldn't relate to them and didn't otherwise find them particularly compelling. I know the show does seem to have struck a chord with quite a few folk and I'll read others' comments on it out of curiosity, but based on that opening episode, I can't see it going anywhere that interests me personally.

Kissing scenes frequently involve saliva trails left hanging from characters' mouths and the show does not shy away from showing the main couple's unenthusiastic attempt to have sex with each other. There's no actual nudity involved, but it was surprisingly graphic for a tv anime not billed as an ecchi comedy.

If they're at least trying to deal with onscreen physical relationships in a more mature manner, I guess that's progress?

Gotcha. Might not be my kind of thing then. Not sure how comfortable I'd be with an anime dealing with sex. Although, given it's on Amazon, I guess I wouldn't be able to find out anyway.
