Occultic;Nine ep10

Oh boy. I appreciate the use of Dutch angles as a classic horror motif to intensify the unsettling atmosphere, but I think they may have taken that to a bit of an extreme.

Still, some big revelations this episode. Ryo-tas being controlled by the astral projection of Tesla's daughter is certainly not what I was expecting, but I find it a pretty satisfying explanation, all things considered.

Yuri!!! On Ice, Ep. 11.

First, the Yuri and Victor situation: Excited by what appear to be the kissing of the rings, although still slightly annoyed that you didn't see full the kiss Victor gave to Yuri's ring. However, with them both kissing their rings individuallyeven I think there can be little doubt as to what is going on. However, now I'm really interested in Yuri's remark at the very end.

Second, the actual sport: Again most of the episode was the skating which might put people off, but for once I think it was worth it because of JJ caving into the pressure - because while JJ for me has been the most annoying character in the series, after that performance you finally begin to sympathise for him.

Not sure if this counts but just finished watching

Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV

An ok movie with a very muddled, and confusing start but ends with an entertaining last 30 minutes and great CGI. Is worth the rent if your planning to play FFXV

Well I think the not seeing the kissing of rings is simply the 'style' that's going on when it comes to seeing those two kiss, even indirectly. It was a bit annoying but not unexpected.

I think Yuri's remark at the end is simply down to seeing how passionate Victor still is for skating and Yuri doesn't want to be the one who is holding him back from that world. If I'm right then I really hope it doesn't end that way and Victor is prepared to give up the skating for his love. But who knows really.

Durarara-Episodes 19 and 20

Okay, so this is getting back on track now, the whole gang war thing is certainly a lot easier to follow than the slasher thing was. Truth be told, once I slept on the whole slasher thing, it made a lot more sense (I came to the conclusion that the spirit in the sword and the girl kind of melded minds, with the intentions of both of them, the sword wanting to love, and the girl wanting to kill anyone trying to steal the love of the teacher, coming through, because the girl wasn't exactly mentally sound) but I think I do prefer this gang story, as it fleshes out Masaomi a bit, which I think was needed. The only question I have now is what Izaya's ultimate goal is.

Sound! Euphonium-Episode 11

A very bitter sweet episode this week, got me quite choked up towards the end there. Sad to think it's almost over, and it's one I cannot wait to own once it comes out.

Hibike! Euphonium S2 - Episode 11
Glad to see an episode focussing on Reina again. I think it was quite nicely done overall. While I like the idea of repeating the mountain hike, I 'm not sure that repeating the same shots/compositions really worked. This episode also gave us a slight insight on how Reina fell for Taki.

My only concern is how they plan on building the tension for the competition. With each conflict the focus was more and more on the person rather than the impact it had on the club/competition. As such, it never really felt like the competition was in danger.

Hopefully they can pull off something like episode 5 again. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire episode, despite the obvious outcome.

Flip Flappers-Episode 11

I still have a bunch of questions as of yet, so I really hope we haven't seen the last of those flashbacks.

Keijo-Episode 11

Buttack on Titan got a bigger laugh out of me than it should have.

Mahou Shoujo Mou Ii Desu Kara S2-Episode 11

This show should have had more action-y type scenes, it does them quite well.

Durarara!-Episode 20 and 21

I have no idea why both in this thread and on my MAL I had it down as me already watching episode 20. Something must have got mixed up there.

Flip Flappers - Episode 11
Great episode, really liked the flashbacks. The previous episode was a bit weak in comparison IMO. Normally I like it when a constant factor like a base gets destroyed or overrun, but it failed to impress me in episode 10. Probably due to the fact that we haven't seen too many shots of the base throughout the series. It should have been "Oh no, even those strange dangerous stairs are no longer safe!", but was more like "Ah... those stairs from episode 1 or 2 and ... the room where Yayaka was being treated, ... did we already see that room..?"

On the other hand the lab members escaping and hiding in a cottage this episode was nice. Not sure what role Nyunyu will play, but given that she hasn't really played any role in this series so far, I expect she will in the next episode. Not sure if she will betray the bad guys, "betray" Salt and his crew or go solo.

The actual confrontation between Salt and Mimi was a bit lackluster. Basically every action by both parties had no (lasting) effect and it ended with Mimi leaving to Pure Illusion. My main complaint is the fact that both Salt and Papika get tossed around constantly (also in the flashbacks), but never seem to get hurt (besides being knocked out for a little while). Although, this could be due to the real "face" of Mimi protecting them (but it appeared she was stashed away deep inside her own(?) Pure Illusion).
I still have a bunch of questions as of yet, so I really hope we haven't seen the last of those flashbacks.
While there are a bunch of things left unanswered, they are mainly details not specifically needed for bringing the story to closure. Unless I'm missing some obvious key questions?
