I recall Tokyo Magnitude from viewing sentai's catalogue and catching a couple of episodes. I left it hoping to buy it at a reasonable price, yet never thought of getting it from TRSI.

I just checked first couple eps of Code Geass. Why do a lot of the characters look like spaghetti people?

Gungrave-Episodes 3-6

I'll be brutally honest, this isn't doing a whole lot for me thus far. It's just kind of slow moving and not really that interesting. Brandon has the personality of wet cardboard which doesn't help in matters either. It's a bit disappointing because I really quite liked that first episode that was more action oriented, but these episodes are more about the story which, so far at least, isn't really that good. Still, this series is 26 episodes, so there's plenty of time for it to pick up.
 
Stick with it - Gungrave is definitely one of my favourite shows ever. It takes a bit to get a handle on it as the first episode doesn't really fit in with the rest of the show. But once you're around halfway through hopefully you should have more of a feel for what it's doing.
 
Mabuharu - Dropped - got up to episode 8. It fails not only as an Ecchi show but also as anything resembling a good story. I really should avoid early naughties anime, the animation is bad and aside from Chobits I've not seen anything worth watching. It really was a dark time for anime.

Railgun S - eps 1-8 - When this show gets serious it really is great, the sisters arc is fantastic.

I've seen several of those and agree, but outside of the big titles there were some very poor shows. Both Last exile and FMP are personal favorites
 
Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV. I'm pleasantly surprised, the characters are quite engaging and I'm looking forward to seeing them in game.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. Gets the background story of FFXV across fairly well, and has also given me a solid idea of how the game's battle mechanics will work. Definitely the best looking CG film I've seen.

Long Riders ep 6.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans s2 ep 6-7. I've lost track now of who is on what side. I'm just watching for the mecha battles at this point.
 
Scorching Ping Pong Girls-Episode 9

I quite like how this show is fleshing out the characters from the rival school Kururi and Zakuro. Kind of makes you root for both sides. Even though, since this is a sports show after all, you know the protagonists are going to win, I'm not even sure I'd be mad if the other school did win. Saying that though, even though it's so late in, this is still just the practice tournament. Either this show is two cours or it's getting a second season. That or they're willing to end a sports show before the big competition, which would be pretty awful.

Gungrave-Episodes 7-12

Okay, so this is picking up quite a bit now. It took a little while to get there, but after the small time jump forward, I felt it finally hit it's stride. What cemented this was the introduction to Blood War (which has to take the cake for the most ridiculous anime character name ever) and the war between Lightning and Millennion, which gives the show the central conflict it sorely needed. What also pulled me back in was the introduction of the zombie mafia members. I was starting to think, after seeing that first episode, the rest of the series was feeling a bit pedestrian, but now it's starting to introduce the more fantastical elements that were so prevalent in that initial episode.

Gungrave just really reminds me of classic gangster movies like Goodfellas and Road to Perdition - I like how over the course of each episode you're literally seeing a man and his best friend grow older together - charting the course of a life.

And 'Millennion' is such a ridiculous OTT name for a gang. I love it.
 
Gungrave-Episodes 13-18

Okay, so now it looks like the story is back where it was in Episode 1. Cool. Glad it didn't totally do the Berserk thing and never loop back around to it's starting point.

Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou Ii Desu Kara S2-Episode 9

Kind of a weird one this week. Maybe it's just a cultural difference , but this episode seemed to imply that employees getting worked to death was a positive thing and the 8 hour work week was some kind of evil thing, which seems rather backwards to me.

Sound! Euphonium S2-Episode 9

You know, after watching this show for almost 24 episodes now, it can be easy to forget just how amazing the visuals are, then you see a sequence like the ending to this episode that just leaves you in awe. KyoAni really knocked it out of the park in terms of art and animation for Sound!, it's so beautiful.
