Code Geass The Lelouch Rebellion 01 - 02

Decided to start this series last night and so far I am torn, can't really decided whether I like it or not, however the little twist at the end of the 2nd ep with definately keep me watching fora while.

give it till ep 6 atleast, i saw ep 1 and 2 then practically threw it away, till arby persuaded me otherwise :p

I'll keep watching it'd be a waste if I didn't see it all the way through plus i wanna know more about the hot red head in the Glasgow Nightmare

by the end of it, u will join the Kallen fanclub

if she doesn't win the 08 anime character battle, we riot

SaiKano - 2; I'm really liking this series! ^_^

First: It's Code ;Geass Lelouch: of the Rebellion; :p And secondly, I really didn't think Code Geass was very good at all after watching the first two eps, but I continued to watch it and I loved it! It's easily one of my all-time favourites now and I absolutely cannot wait for the DVDs!

Haha. What a coincidence, I watched them around that time this morning too. I actually did enjoy it, but I have a fair few amount of complaints with it too, characters are too thin, Lelouch's "power" is over-powered, Suzaku is basically an older Syaoran. Though I do like Kallen/Karren or whatever her name is. It was good enough for me to carry on for now, it's like Death Note, but more entertaining and with mechs. ;O

Also picked up on RahXephon, again, watched episodes 8-10 last night, was pretty good.

That's what I thought, save for the "more entertaining" part; thought Code Geass probably is more entertaining, I still prefer Death Note!

I've got the first two volumes watched, and I'm currently in the process of collecting all the DVDs before I marathon it ^_^

I beleive the thin characters are a homage to the clamp series (i belive it's a commen theme with some of their animes) but yes that annoyed me too

as for lulu's power being "over powered" you'll see as the series goes on that the cloud doesn't always have a silver lining :p

An episode of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl  Its low now, really low
Oi, Its not that bad. You realise you've probably just aged and the show itself has stayed the same. If you actually watch the first season - The writing is quite tedious, the same as now. Basically the only thing is that Dawn/Hikari is there and Misty/Kasumi isn't. There are about 400 more Pokémanz as well. I would go as far to say, the Diamond and Pearl series is probably the closest series as a match to the original Indigo League. Pokémanz Advanced being a personal favourite. ;p

Pokémaniac. ;/

As for what I'm watching... The usual Shounen shows.

Made it through to the end of Noein. As a series I found it a bit slow at first but when the action started the pace picked up a bit, some good well placed music which sounded great in 5.1 in the last couple of discs helped the episodes along.

I will have to watch it again soon as nodding off during a couple of episodes (my fault not the series) and trying to work out where to re-watch from makes me feel like I missed something.

Also watched:
Magikano Volume 2 so far a good harem style comedy thats had me laughing a fair amount.

Witchblade volume 4 still going along nicely.

Lupin III: Return of Pycal - 2/10

Terrible! I was seriously expecting a lot more to say it was a 30th anniversary celebration. It starts off pretty well but very quickly decends into a mess. The CGI is just plain awful for a production made in 2002 and is just extremely intrusive and distracting. Pycals return isn't that impressive either, he now has actual powers rather than illusions but they seem to be even more useless than the illusions. The story is weak anyway. If it had kept to the tone of the first few minutes then this might have been something noteworthy but instead I suggest that everyone stay as far away from this as possible. One of the worst.

I just hope the upcoming Green VS REd OAV is more up to par. Lupin always looked best in Red anyway. :)

Worked my way through Kaiji 1 last night, which was fairly interesting, one i'm definitely going to continue with i think, and also watched 2-4 of Lovely Complex, its nice i have to say, funny but not too funny, light hearted and has a nice feeling about it. Have episode 5 ready to watch in a few minutes.
