Wakfu: Season 1 Episodes 10-12
While my avatar probably makes plain the high regard I hold Wakfu in, it's not really an anime in the sense it's understood on AUKN (being, y'know, created and animated in France rather than Japan).

A chat about it over in the media section might be an idea though, since most people seem to have their Kickstarter blu-rays now. And I will say that anybody who liked Slayers (or even anyone who liked the concept of Slayers but was disappointed by it) should really watch Wakfu.

SNAFU2 e.4 - This show just kills me. As much as I know that commercial circumstance dictates the likely outcomes to the narrative, and that it will never quite be exactly what I want it to be, I can't praise it any more highly than saying that at times it feels as if it could have been written by Hanazawa Kengo.

Owari No Seraph 7: Still enjoying this but it's almost reached self-parody levels for the number of dead or gravely ill women in various backstories. I'd hate to be the sister of a main character in this show. Lamest writing choices ever. The thing about the vampires releasing kids to trick groups of hot-blooded out-of-control trainees who happened to be walking by at that moment also seemed like a bit of a weird waste of effort on the part of the vampires. Anyway, I still like the show and I have a big crush on Hayami Saori this season.

I'm a little shocked that I still haven't got around to watching this week's Fate/stay night UBW. I'll catch up tonight or tomorrow, but I'm pretty much only tuning in for the sumptuous animation at this point after losing interest in anything else long ago. A shame.

That's my attitude towards the entire Fate franchise in a nutshell basically :p
Anyway, stuff I've watched over the last week:

Baby Steps s2 ep7. It was good to see Eiichirou completely dominate a match for once, but I don't think that'll happen again anytime soon.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works s4 ep7. Come on Archer, give that idiot a kicking.

Plastic Memories ep7. They seem to have committed to the bland and boring rom-com style. The first few episodes showed what it could have been, but all hope is now stone dead.

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan ep7. Is it my imagination or is the animation quality getting worse?

The Heroic Legend of Arslan ep7. Still my favourite anime this season.

The iDOLM@STER ep23-25 (complete) & OVA & Movie. Takane is best girl, as is any other woman who is a ramen connoisseur.

The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls ep3-4. Much more generic now, though not bad by any means. I still can't work out how this production company is related to 765Pro from the main series, assuming it even is.

I have to admit all the negative views re. Plastic Memories are pretty depressing - the first ep had so much promise too, but I gave up a few episodes back as with every episode it seemed to move further from that premise.

Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine - Episode 6

Macross Plus - Episodes 1 & 2 (Blu-ray)

WOW, this looks truly amazing on Blu-ray, I'd forgotten how good this is (been a good ten years since I last saw it) but watching this Jap BD version reminds me why I never watch anything dubbed!!

From Monday 18th May:
Blood-C: The Last Dark (English Dub) - Film

From Wednesday 20th May:
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 05-08
Kuroko's Basketball (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 51-52 (Re-watch), 53-54

Busuo Shinki - Episode 8

Macross Plus - Episodes 3 & 4 [Final] (Blu-ray)

Really enjoyed watching this again, the actions scenes are some of the best I've seen.

Gintama-Episode 67 and 68
Ninja Slayer-Episode 6

*sigh*
Last week I thought they were heading in a good direction with some improved animation but this week went right back to the crap animation in the first minute. Although I will admit, the bit with the lions was a bit funny. Dammit. I feel like I'm repeating my self every week but this anime had SO MUCH POTENTIAL and it continues to be incredibly underwhelming. The characters are just there, the animation is all over the place and the story isn't even followable. I actually want clarification on the story. I have no idea what is happening but IDK if that's just me. Is anyone else watching who can actually follow this? Like Episode 5 ended with Ninja Slayer finding out who killed him and his wife, went to confront the guy, the episode ended, then this one started on something completely different. I mean I guess it's kind of entertaining due to how over the top and ludicrous it is but that's it. There is no substance.

Kuroko's Basketball (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 55-58
My Love Story!! (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 06-07

I'll hopefully manage to watch the latest JoJo episode tomorrow before heading to London for MCM.
