What if Nazi Germany had all powerful mages is what I got from the episode, but the synopsis of the series sounds totally different. I guess I'll have to watch episode 1 to get a true feeling for the series.

Interesting question asked in the first episode, what if it wasn't illegal to kill?
The animation was too clean, if that makes sense, and the environments especially were a bit sterile. The music was pretty good though.
Just Magus' Bride to go. It was already on my list, but I'm guessing that the prequel parts don't count so will need more time to watch.

Very back story heavy episode and not particularly exciting one, but we learnt some new stuff about the character featured.

Very back story heavy episode and not particularly exciting one, but we learnt some new stuff about the character featured.
As soon as I saw it was Monkey I hoped that the pattern so far wouldn't continue with the back story character getting killed and it didn't, but it may do soon as she's run into Rabbit, but she does have a powerful ability by the looks of things. But that battle may have to wait as the preview showed the Goat for the next episode. Haven't seen anything of Tiger since the first episode.

Kind of treading water a bit this week. Sharyu as a character is pretty much exactly as I'd expected her to be, so I haven't found her all that interesting.
On a side note, the civilian woman shot during her montage sequence looked an awful lot like Saber...

The Ancient Magus' Bride (Japanese audio) - Episodes 1-3
As I watched the prequel OVA series last night I decided to go straight into the current episodes of the main series as well. This is really good, I might even give it a perfect rating if it keeps this up.

In This Corner of the World (dub)
A story about war in all its mundanity and then horror when it visits the protagonists home town. Not as grim as Grave of the Fireflies as only the second half deals with the direct affect of war, rather than the whole film, but definitely has it's grim moments.
I liked the MC and her characteristics, but as someone here said when giving their thoughts, the romance side was lacking something.
I liked the animation apart from the sometimes the hands were freakishly large.

One sweet SoL episode, then an epic battle episode and finally an episode of recovery.
