KonoSuba s3 eps 8-11 (complete)
Debt troubles.
Probably the funniest season, from memory, and the gang are almost competent adventurers by the end, so fun to see a bit of progression.
Still the same fun expressions and action as before.
8/10

Apothecary Diaries S2 Episodes 1-3 (25-27) last night with my mother. It's back to more tasty mysteries in Season 2 of the series, with a few things relating back to events from last season, so it's getting very interesting already! I'm looking forward to more episodes once there's another 2 or 3 eps available to binge...

Related to this, My copy of the Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Part 1 Blu-ray is arriving in the mail today from Crunchyroll US. 🥳

Spoiler about Ave Mujica but if you dont plan to watch it, feel free to read this post regardless

Its worrying to say but the portrayal of MH in Ave Mujica is spot on

Its a genuine concern when somone has been really secluded and quite, to suddenly be really happy. People mistake it as a good thing but you really need to be careful

Just like MyGo, the writers have done their research

Edit: then I watch the 2nd half of Episode 4 😅

Sorairo Utility ep4

Find someone who looks at you the way Haruka looks at a new driver.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex ep1-12 (rewatch, English dub)

The passage of time only makes me appreciate SAC more, I think we’ve still never seen any other sci-fi procedural top how consistently good it is. Been rewatching it with a friend and it’ll likely be a while before we can get back to it, but I look forward to picking it up again, as we were just short of Yen, Euro, Dollar (¥€$) one of my favourite episodes.

ARIFURETA: From Common Place to World's Strongest Season 3 Episode 13 Watch over me.

Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four! Episode 5 Research.

I Have a Crush at Work Episode 4 Popular.

I'm a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic Episode 5 Animate armour.

Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms Episode 4 Rumour.

Back to last Spring. I'd thought I'd watch the first episode of the new shows I had left on my list:

Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again ep 1
Pretty much what the title says. The comedy's OK, but it's more hornier than I thought it would be. I mean the first "gag" is that the granddaughter now fancies her grandfather!

The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio ep 1
Again title sums up the show, but in not such an obvious way. Two fresh idols are partnered together because the producer of the show found out that they go to the same school, but in their day to day life they are nothing like their professional personas and equally nothing like each other. Another bubbly outgoing girl x gloomy girl.

Kaiju no. 8 (dub) ep 1
Shounen action in a world where Kaiju attacks are frequent and there are squads that deal with the threat and squads that have to clean up afterwards, which is where we find our lead.

Spice and Wolf (2024) ep 1
I'm sure most are familiar with the story of this readaptation. As it's a 2 cour it's a bit of slower pace than the others.

Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night ep 1
Very similar to Girls Band Cry. A shy girl meets an outgoing girl with history in the entertainment industry and together starts a journey towards a goal. Not sure if the shy one is going to sing with the band as her story is different to the one in GBC. But does seem like they'll recruit more people to the project like in GBC.

Think I'll watch VA Radio first as most are similar to stuff I've watched recently, apart from the first one, but I'm not sure if I'd finish that one anyway, but I'll still give it a shot at some point.

A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! episode 16 Bros.

Flower and Asura episode 4 Love of the classics.

Dragon Ball GT episodes 31-44

Hidamari Sketch × Honeycomb episodes 1-12
Hidamari Sketch: Sae & Hiro's Graduation Arc episodes 1 & 2

Nice end to the series

The Tatami Time Machine Blues episodes 1-6

First time using Disney+ for anime, nice sequel of sorts to the original series

Ameku M.D: Doctor Detective episode 5 Pride and joy.

Honey Lemon Soda episode 4 The space between.

Ishura 2nd Season episode 4 Welcoming.

Dragon Ball GT episodes 45-57

Red Baron - Episodes 34 - 43

Still going strong, in fact episodes 38 and 39 were incredibly good episodes, and kick-started the run the series conclusion. It's interesting that episode 38 also introduced a tone and imagery not that dissimilar to what had been seen in G Gundam in the preceding months.

The Colours Within

Took the opportunity to see this at the cinema last night, It was a nice film and I quite enjoyed it, the music was pretty cool! I have a couple of Naoko Yamada's other films on the shelf unwatched and this has prompted me to finally watch them.

Vampire Princess Miyu OVA

Robotics Notes

Aeon Flux

I really like Vampire Princess Miyu (only ever seen it subbed), it was the second anime I saw on VHS fansub back in 1992. Hopefully AnimEigo will give the HD kickstarter treatment in the near future. I thought Robotics Notes was very average as well, a lot of good ideas that were squandered and I can remember the impression Aeon Flux made on me when I first saw it, I think it deserves it iconic status.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

I glad to hear that you think it holds up Prof, I loved SAC when I watched it maybe 10 years ago now. I plan to rewatch it later this year.
