Been clearing my table of non-anime stuff. Got through some musical, kids stuff and black and white classics, as well as starting on my ballet/opera pile. Also rewatched I'm Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady I Rescued a Crash Course in Naughtiness, mostly to cheer myself up as I expect to be unemployed by the end of January (they're restructuring our section and, if I stay, I'll be checking the grammar of the AI that's replacing us).

Detective Conan: Episode "One" - The Great Detective Turned Small (Japanese) - TV Special (Complete)

Some years back I watched the first episode of Detective Conan and enjoyed it yet never got around to continuing it.

From my understanding this was a re-imagining of it and I did remember the main plot details from that first episode but it also included from what I felt was likely information and / or reveals from later on in the series as well as after the main plot showing a lot of what I suppose are notable scenes from the series as some seemed quite spoilerly despite me having no knowledge on any plot details post-episode one.

Apart from the end though I felt this was a good re-introduction for me for the series as outside of the first episode my only other experience with the series are the two Lupin crossovers.

After watching the other movies I own now I'll revisit the Lupin crossovers as I'll have a better understanding of the cast then.

This was enjoyable though, I look forward to getting deeper into the series and hope that Discotek can / will release more of it.
 
Episodes 1-4 of Sherlock Hound, as I couldn't resist. Bit of retelling of some classic Conan Doyle stories, which a little more female character presence, which is nice. I think I am going to enjoy this. But I still have a dozen ballet/opera DVDs to get through. Just watched An Italian Girl in Algiers, which had a strong female lead, the story was fun, nobody dies and it had a happy ending!

Berserk: The Golden Age Arc - Memorial Edition episodes 4-13 (Complete. Though it was neat to see the film trilogy presented in an episodic format alongside some new content here and there, the ‘97 adaptation remains superior overall.) 3/5

What did you enjoy about Summoned that made you watch it for a second time?
I've bought quite a bit of Isekai and Reincarnation anime this year but unsure about this one. I have been liking the confident Overpowered MC, some comedy and fanservice and action.
 
My Happy Marriage
Episodes 1-8
I had access to netflix for a couple of days and finding very little, I started this.
Cinderella?? Where's the girl from the Grimm's version when you need her.
Got into it quickly and binged these episodes.
bit of a supernatural, some people have powers conspiracy thing going on.
It did get me annoyed sometimes as I wanted to hit certain characters.

Finished The Brothers Sun.
I liked it but I admit to fast forwarding some of the family drama bits.
Great fights.
Michelle Yeoh easily the best in it. If your Mum is prepared to cut up a body for you you know she's special.
 
Sherlock Hound episodes 5-12: sometimes it's hard to resist a really fun series. My favourite so far is ep10, The White Cliffs of Dover (or the secret past of the intrepid Mrs Hudson, as I think it should be called). Lots of fun Victorian style gadgets and vehicles, many sort of familiar through other Miyazki work. And that Dr Watson seems to be chatting up every woman he meets.

Also The Nutcracker (1968 Covent Garden version directed by and starring Rudolf Nureyev). I have this problem, that I keep associating Nureyev with that scene from the Muppets with Miss Piggy in the sauna. :)

I totally loved My Happy Marriage, and I'm so pissed it hasn't gotten a Blu-ray release.
