What you guys doing right now.

Sat in the office wondering why an other i purchased on friday - first class, hasn't even been posted yet.

And drinking a bottle of Mountain Dew Energy whilst looking at "the legends of the space marines" book on my desk and thinking "if only i had a few hours spare i'd sleep or read some more"

I've decided to contact my union and undergoing a "work to rule" proceedure now.

HR met with me on monday and despite doing the work equal to the training departments admins i'm being paid less, what also is a knife in the back is that i'm training staff aswell - which is a paygrade higher than the training admins at the training department. I've been the sole Training admin for this side since november 2012 and as of yet they refuse to increase my pay to equal of someone doing the same job (being that of a trainer) so my union will be having a field day with workds akin to "exploitation" and "discrimination" as i'm the only bloke in the whole department and get abused in this way because i'm working 2 paygrades higher than being paid for and i'm sick of it.

Work to rule is as close as i can get to a strike whilst still getting paid, the knock on effect being that all the training i delivered and did all the back paperwork for will now stop and all staff will have to travel over 20miles to complete the same training; mileage costs to the trust rise and due to being further away the DNA (Did not attend) figures will fly up in no time.

Nice one HR, i asked for equality and you said no so now you'll pay out alot more to get the same results i was producing and you'll have to fight off the union with a solid case of victimization and exploitation.

On a slightly lighter note, I've just being watching the second last episode of Masterchief. Its only TV programme that I currently watch, I have little desire to watch anything else on TV, but Masterchief always gets me for some reason...

I'm intrigued... Did you mean 'MasterChef', or is there really a TV show called MasterChief? I wasn't prepared to wade through all the Halo pages Google turned up on the search to see if there was a TV show called MasterChief.

After a goodnights sleep and plans for the weekend i'm in a much better mood - in work but not going to let it get me too annoyed.

I'm sat on my sofa, reading about the surgery I need to get, and being bloody terrified of it, to the point of nearly passing out a couple of times. Knives don't belong near eyes, dammit! ;_;

Aye, thanks for the support. :) I need to get on and book a consultation now.

Whats going on Muts? Why would you need surgery near your eyes?! Hopefully its not as worrying as it sounds.

Just looking through my orders on various websites:
Emailing Maelstrom to find out an estimation of when they will actually post the order as it just keeps showing the status of the order as "processing"

Emailed a seller on Amazon regarding my copy of Winter Assault that was placed on March 9th and the last estimated delivery date was the 20th, i think im being fair by waiting an extra 2 days after last estimated date before emailing.

Ebay seller said they would post the day of payment, only posted it yesterday.... order was placed on monday morning.

I think thats it for now.... i'm still concerned as one order hasn't even been dispatched and i've sent 2 emails because the order was placed last week but still not even in the post.

What is it with people these days? If your selling something the least you can do is actually send it once its been paid for, not sit with my money in their bank account and just keep the items.

Waiting on my gaming rig arriving. Courier told me they'd email me the morning of the day of delivery, which is today, but they haven't. So I can't leave my flat until I know roughly when they'll arrive.

Your avatar isn't you post surgery by any chance?

Being serious though, hope whatever the surgery entails goes well for you.

It is just laser eye surgery to correct my vision; nothing I can't opt out of. I don't want to back out though, but what has to be done is still terrifying.

Thank you all for the kind and supportive comments. <3

After having a very.... dull and verge depressing week with alot of headaches and stress... Friday comes along and reminds me why i've stuck it out in the NHS this long.

Redundancy payouts for those the trust is able to get rid of (sadly not me), 2 banding job promotion opportunity i've found through handling the admin sector on my own aswell as my own job. Have HR by the balls forcing a promotion if i don't get the 2 paygrade jump into another department.

Actually feeling happier when its hectic, there's a strange sense of worth when you manage to fight through the fan covered in excrement.

So yeah its friday afternoon on the second to last week of the financial year.... yeah the brown stuff is flying and yeah money is really tight right now... but you know what? The sun is shining brighter than it has in months and i'm feeling really positive about the rest of the year. I've already accomplished so much and with each hurdle that i take on i'm seeing it as a gateway to bigger and better things.

Being that its wednesday this can mean only a few things:

Payday tomorrow ^__^
2 its curry and a pint night at the hungry horse and i've already said to my mate about going - i won't be driving up this time as i've rekindled my thirst for beer..... not to mention the price of petrol has made me second guess urges to drive anywhere other than the bare minimum of needed distances.

I slept from about 8pm till 7am this morning, im not going to lie - i've had a rough time trying to sleep so that was a well earnt rest at the cost of an evening.

4 day week next week AND the knowledge that this time next week i'll be all packed up and ready for thursday's drive across to oxfordshire for a well earnt rest and 6 days "vacation" only to come back and celebrate our 3 years together with the gf. Still don't know what we will do yet, if its sunny then well be in brighton otherwise i'm guessing we will be in london again.

Looking for a holiday to book aswell, really want to go away for a couple of weeks rest :)

Well, went to radlett for training yesterday - Jay's dad from the inbetweeners was there (the actor) as the trust have money to waste paying actual actors to deliver training. Had a good laugh though

Went and spoke with my union rep about things as their HQ is on site. Then i found myself at 2pm of the day with nothing to do so i got in my car and drove home. Nice long drive back up to luton and then parked up on the drive and washed my car, dried, waxed and polished it and then sat in the garden with the dogs enjoying a 7up and the sunshine :)

After what seems to be a quite eventful crazy moment for me. I'm going quite positively to town to cash in my monies that Holiday has left over for me and then who knows...might buy something!

We have new overlords at work for our chummy contractor team, so am currently threating over the subtle 'Your arse is mine.' friendly conversation that occurred today :(
