I just heard Molly Quinn from Castle likes anime and want to throw up.

(She cosplayed up as Shana (from Shakugan no Shana) and said the show is better in Japanese...)

Do you not believe her? (on either and/or both points?)

Looking online at holidays to ibiza, really want to get back out of the office asap so i'm booking a week away for me and the gf in september.

Seriously don't understand the people who book holidays with anything less than all inclusive, its madness it truly is!!

Ehh I like every aspect to be perfect and choose everything myself, so I never buy all inclusive trips. I'm planning my summer holiday for next year now already to guarantee that perfection (and have been for a few weeks) :)

I only really travel to achieve specific targets though, rather than to relax. So brutal efficiency is more important to me than anything else!

:p I weigh up how much it would cost me to buy the amount of food, soft and alcoholic drinks over the course of the holiday and its always cheaper to go all inclusive.

Don't get me wrong though, i do go out for meals or drinks whilst on holiday, but to an extent as i've already paid for it at the hotel.

I'm one of those holiday goers who likes to go for long walks and discover as much of a mental map as possible within the first 24 hours, leaving me the rest of the holiday to choose on a day by day basis what i'll be doing. Spontanious planning on holiday is the way i roll. Back home however its more a case of i'll talk to someone about something, the convo will then eventually give birth to various ideas and from that i plan a proper "night out" or day around a rough concept.

Adaptability for the win :p

Where you on about going? If we can get the money saved up me and the gf are going to florida for 2 weeks :)

Japan of course :)

I travelled a lot in my youth so now I only really feel like spending money on travelling to places which relate to my hobby. Now I only ever go to Japan, aside from family obligations where they drag me somewhere weird (I have some extended family overseas).

Since I don't drink at all that's one cost I don't worry about on trips. I sometimes go for inclusive breakfasts at hotels when they are cheap, but that's annoying too as the breakfast service hours often clash with my whimsical idea of what the correct time to head out when on holiday should be. I prefer the freedom of picking everything myself, at the risk of seeming like a crazed control freak!

Ahh, in that case i am jealous. The other half doesn't want to go to Japan anytime soon so i'll have to wait a few years to go there :/

I've been to alot of places in the past, well since 2000 i've been abroad once or twice per year, but yet to do anything like my cousin has, he just got back from a trip to veitnam then to australia, then to new zealand then to ibiza and around the EU to then come back home. God knows how the hell he paid for it though. I'd love to go travelling for a few months or even a year, just get out and see the world without being tied down to a office job.

You sound similar to me when it comes to breakfast, i don't wake up till 11am due to the main reason that i'm on holiday so i'm having a lay in and i'll get out when i want to. To make use of bed and breakfast i'd have to wake up to conform to the hotel breaky hours, thats just not ideal.

I wouldn't say the risk is being a control freak, the risk i see is eating the veg abroad and they wash it in their water and you end up ill because of it lol i know in Egypt you don't trust any water unless you know that it came from a water bottle, sealed and with a plastic cover to prove it hasn't been opened since it left the factory. Surprisingly i eat alot of Pasta, bread and butter and any meat in eyesight whilst abroad... at home i can't stand pasta.

Odd.

I've been on a couple of all-inclusive, and far more notAll-inclusive holidays. It certainly has its benefits and conveniences on certain types of holidays, but part of the fun for me is usually finding different restaurants to eat at each day.

Listening through the tracks I've recorded, checking to see if exporting them hasn't messed with them in any way

How did it turn out? Good I hope.
They all turned out good, uploading them on YT took a milennia though, and getting them up onto my FB page is taking even longer

Putting a rest to the Character battles and setting it in stone who is our latest champion (in terms of timing and most recent title).

Otherwise, I'm taking it easy today, with a trip to the dump and some gaming.

Browsing the forums, sorting out work thats piled up and generally being in work.

Gym and DIY part 2 tonight, the drawers to the chest of drawers are the only thing to do, the chair is up and working. Rather pleased with the level of productiveness.

FInished off anime, games and DIY. Spent all weekend with the gf and pretty happy so far.

Been lazying around watching anime all day. Excluding bank holidays, today is the first day I have had off work this year.

By a strange coincidence my brother has this week off as well. We stayed up until 4.00 last night playing Dungeon Siege III on his Xbox 360 - he did not wake up until past 4.00 this afternoon. I stayed up til about 5.15 and still managed to wake up before 9.00 though.

Attempting to read and post on AUKN on my phone, from my sister's house. I have never known anywhere with such insanely variable 3G coverage. It's like there's someone sat at the transmitter playing with a slider which adjusts signal strength (with the sole purpose of pissing me off).

Sat drinking Ribena, i learnt lastnight that i can walk into Mcdonalds and buy 2 cheese burgers and decided to ask for a happy meal toy, which the guy replied "how many do you want" so i said "a couple if your offering" lol. My best mate now has a Smurfette on his rear view mirror haha :p
