What manga are you reading now?

This weekend I've read 07-Ghost 1-17. I read the beginning of this right when Go-Comi published the first few volumes years ago, then they went under. I attempted to follow it via scans, but the long wait between chapters meant that each time a new chapter came out, I'd forgotten what was going on. I watched the anime, but that only covered the beginning of the story. I decide to wait until it's all scanned, then read it.

Anyway, fast forward to a couple of years ago, and Viz announce they've rescued it. This weekend, I finally got to sit down and read it, and I definitely enjoyed it a lot more having it all there to read in one go. For a first series as well, it's very impressive. The art is a bit difficult to follow at times, but not too much, and the characters are distinct enough to tell apart. The story is a little formulaic in places, but the world is well thought out. 7/10

X Omnibuses 5 and 6... and it's unfinished due to the hiatus it was put on. Shame because that is the one fault this series has, because it is great.

Recently read both first volumes of The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service and My Little Monster!

Really dug the first volume of Kurosagi Corpse, feels like that is a series that I want to definitely consider getting more into!

Also, My Little Monster was as entertaining as I remember based off it's Anime adaptation, Mizutani is still a pretty great character!

Ajin: Demi-Human - Vol. 7 & Chapters 34 & 35

I'm really enjoying this, but I think they've jumped the gun on the film trilogy, OVA and 13 episode TV series. It'll be interesting to see just how off manga they go, and how they end their adaptations as it doesn't seem like there's a natural ending coming up at any point either.

Inuyashiki - Chapters 46 & 47

I saw an ANN article saying this would be a 10 volume manga and it was costing Oku a lot of money. We've just reached the half way point and I get the distinct impression he's dragging it out a bit now. It felt like it was ready to go and ramp things up for the final conclusion a few chapters back, but then character's motivations suddenly changed and the bad guy (temporarily) stopped being bad and then things are now just happening without explanation, two of the lead characters have been ignored for a very very long time only to make a brief appearance in the most recent chapter, and we're seemingly now entering an arc where Inuyashiki's daughter is going to become important, despite not having been seen for all of maybe 40 chapters now. It's really entertaining, and I'm still really interested to see how it ends, especially now it has just forcibly backed itself out of a potential happy ending.
