What manga are you reading now?

I got an email back from The Book Depository asking me to provide photos? How can I photograph missing pages?

I have sent an email back trying to explain the pages aren't ripped out or torn but simply not there. Not sure what else I can do really. It's only obvious from a gap in the story and through counting the pages.

It's ok st_owly, I got an email through around 4am this morning (what kind of hours do these people work? ). He just said he's ordered me a replacement copy and it's on his way. Must have realised it was a silly ask!

Thank you for the offer though! That was very kind of you. Glad it's all sorted, was a weird mini drama!

Glad it's all sorted as well. One time I got a book from an Amazon seller which had been described as good condition, but it was an ex-library book so covered in stickers and stamps and some bent pages. I sent them a grumpy email and they immediately refunded me as they didn't have another one. These companies are big enough that they can afford to, and they'd rather not upset a customer.

I've had the same happen to me, but for lost DVDs. The companies are so big they just refund by default.

What concerns me more is why the items never turn up. I have never, ever heard of an item literally going missing in the post - so I can only assume they never had the item in stock, or they sent it to someone else before adjusting the stock listing and then had to back track.

And same, I've had lots of ex library manga too.

I think that can happen, but things certainly can get lost in the post too - even tracked items. I've had couriers lose things as well, but Royal Mail is pretty terrible for losing things (especially as getting compensation from them can be quite difficult with certain postal methods even when it's clearly 100% their fault). They also sometimes return things to the sender as 'undeliverable' for no logical reason, which takes three weeks plus transit time each way.

Terra Formars (Manga) - Volumes 01-02, Chapters 0.01-0.06 & 01-08

With the anime starting fairly soon I figured I'll read the first two volumes now instead of waiting for the anime to appear. Oh boy.

The manga is great to read. The first volume gets to the point and things don't go as you would expect. Now I can't wait for the other volumes plus the TV version to appear (the OVA version covered an arc and people have said it was rushed).

UPDATE - The TV version of Terra Formars covers Volume 2 onwards, the OVA version covers Volume 1. Sigh.

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles v1 ch 1-3. I've started reading this because of how it crossovers with xxxHOLiC so much. Only 3 chapters in and I'm already hooked.
