What Games Are You Playing?

Currently playing through Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days, and i think i'm nearing the end now, at least i'm around the day 223 mark, or there abouts. Good game i will say, even if we know the way things pan out, it still has things in it which add an interesting twist to things. Only gripe is the camera though, it can be a right pain sometimes.

Also working through The World Ends With You again and its just as awesome as it was when i first got it when it was released. Its just hella annoying to know that it was hard to find around here. If you can find it, get it, its the best game on the DS to date.

Also, when i get home i will be playing through:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attourney - Brother found it in Game yesterday, owe him for it, but at least he found it. Can finally find out what makes it so good.

Also found my old copy of Silent Hill which I will now try and complete, there's a lot of PS2 games I want which I never played and the Silent Hill series is on my list.

Dude you wanna try and get the PS1 game. That's the best in the series easily. 8)

(Arkham Asylum) does a fantastic job of making the player feel like the coolest, toughest, most resourceful dude in the world (RE5, by contrast, made me feel like a clumsy retard), and for that it deserves a lot of credit.
On a related note, Fallout 3 makes me feel like the coolest, toughest, most resourceful clumsy retard in the world, especially whilst fighting multiple enemies. I still can't aim for **** with the PS3 controller. Feels great blowing people's heads off slo-mo in VATS (especially while hidden for a sneak attack bonus... from behind... at close range... with a combat shotgun), but once my Action Points run out I just spray bullets everywhere (generally not into the target - occasionally into wandering traders' pack animals. RIP Crazy Wolfgang).

I think the big difference is sensitivity. With a mouse you can spin 180 degrees in a fraction of a second, then quickly but accurately pinpoint the target's forehead and, to quote the poets Kaiser; that's the end of thaaat. Whereas with the Sixaxis you can either aim fast and never be accurate, (If I don't have enough AP it's not uncommon for me to spend entire magazines on single enemies sometimes) or aim with glacial pace and deliver some one shot kills... if you survive long enough. "Wait, wait! Stop shooting at me! I'm trying to get a bead on your head."

Can the PS3 support mice? Or are there better controllers you can buy? If not my FPS experience on this console is going to be disappointing.

Killing the traders isn't smart dude, later on they come in really handy as they carry some pretty useful stuff and they can be cheaper than most stores once you have completed a certain mission.

Yes, though it depends on the game ultimately. I used a mouse on some PS2 titles.

Can't confirm with FO3 since we have the PC version (it was cheaper).

Cheers Rui, sadly no-one on the entire internet seems to know if it supports mouse and keyboard. :(

It was an accident! I was fighting some raiders at the time, it's not my fault that one stray bullet hitting his virtually invincible pack brahmin turned him into a homicidal maniac. Honestly, you'd think he could have just agreed to exchange insurance details or something.

I do take responsibility for asploding his head though.

Who f*cking cares. He's dead now, like the Overseer and the residents of Arefu.

One thing I really do dislike about Fallout 3 is the psychic NPCs. How the hell does someone outside know I've killed someone inside a building with a melee weapon (and vice-versa)? People even seem to know when I've performed a 'Mister Sandman' kill, rendering the ability utterly useless.

I killed the old guy who maintains the pipes in Megaton and the entire town started to pile into his workshop, baying for my blood. There was much blood spilled, but suffice it to say, none of it was mine.

I haven't played Fallout 3 in a while, still got two DLC packs to go, I've already paid for Broken Steel but never played it. lol. When I first got the game I made some really bad mistakes, like telling the black sheriff of Megaton about that guy wanting to blow up Megaton and if you don't help him he'll kill the sheriff, so I looted his body and the entire town attacked me at like level 3. I was too used to bad JRPGs and it took me a while but now... I think I might start a new save and make Kenshiro.

Also having finished both Dino Crisis 2 and Silent Hill I started Silent Hill 3 which I'm like two thirds through, the turning point has happened which I never really saw coming but felt something would happen to Heather's dad.

For the past few days i've been working on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attourney and to be honest, its brilliant. I'm on case 5 at the moment, which obviously looks like it was an extra case for the DS(as it was a GBA game i believe), but it does have a great storyline, and pacing is just right too. I have Apollo Justice here at the moment, but i'm waiting for Justice for All and Trials and Tribulations to get here so i can work on them first, gonna keep to this in order.

Also been working on Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 which is also great, and the extra bits thrown in here and there from the first series is great. Completed the mission you get for Momiji so far too, not sure if you get anymore for her as you go yet, but i know i still have ayane and rachel to work on as well. Shall be working more on it tonight, and hopefully i'll get to see the new ending before i have to go back to the flat.

I finished the excellent Knights of the Old Republic yesterday and I'm now playing Star Wars: Battlefront as I work my through the "Best of PC collection". Battlefront is a lot of fun, but it's pretty mediocre. And it's seemingly very, very, very short. I'm about 2/3rds through it already, I think.

Finished Castlevania: Symphony of the Night earlier today, great game, shame it doesn't have Bloody Tears in the OST. Got Order of Ecclesia for Christmas, so I'll give it a whirl soon enough, heard it's not the same as Metroidvania, I'll see how it goes.

Battlefront was extremely short. I think I finished the story mode in about 4 hours and I really have very little interest in online play so the game is fairly wasted on me. Was still good fun while it lasted though, especially getting to fight as a droideka :]

My bro bought me Batman: Arkham Asylum for Christmas so playing through that at the moment. It got some cracking reviews and I'm really enjoying it so far, haven't played a game which is like this in a long time.

Hoping to pick up Ghostbusters or MW2 after this
