What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

A couple of non-anime items today: I have been waiting a very long time for a good price on The Vampire Diaries: Complete Series (don't judge me, just take me back to when vampires and werewolves were the 'in' thing!), and it finally went down to a decent price on Amazon. I also picked up Tokyo Vice: Season 2 from Planet of Entertainment; a shame the show didn't get renewed for a third season.

And of course, another one for Bleach Part 3 from the alltheanime store.

No judging, currently watchin legacies, have watched vampire diaries and originals

Couple of arrivals today. First, The Good, The Bad, The Weird feels like my first Arrow pickup in a while. As someone who mostly only collects Asian cinema from the various boutiques, something Arrow don't seem to have put that much out of as of late (though I did get their J-Horror and Tomie sets relatively recently), this is good for my wallet since Eureka and 88 put out so much.

Second, AL's Twin Star Exorcists boxset. Considered picking this up during their Christmas sale, but I had already bought so much (and a couple of them ended up selling out), so I grabbed a set from eBay for what would've been around the same price as AL were selling the 4 sets individually for.

My next to last jpbd purchase-top row-Macross Frontier tv and the 2 movies, Bottom row Macross Delta.
Japanese Macross releases are in such a weird place right now. Delta has English subs, but the Frontier TV series doesn't, even in the set released after Delta. There's one early release of the Frontier movies that have subtitles, but later releases removed them. Meanwhile Do You Remember Love is finally getting a subtitled release this month. There's no consistency.

I have the set of the Frontier movies with subtitles as for the tv series I'll simply remux them with subs. Having said that the Delta tv series and movies have subs I'm not happy with them as they use a thin font with a thin black outline and are white and are damn near impossible to read which makes them rather useless. Here's an example of how I do my subtitles from my release of Tanya The Evil Movie-much easier to read with no eye strain.

Newest signed picture is from Kari Walhgren https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/Kari-Wahlgren/ I'm aware she's more well known for her voice work in anime English dub but I've not seen much of that. Her work in western animation (i.e Zatanna in DC Super Hero Girls) I'm more familiar with. And also I finally got the Beetlejuice animated series. Quick fun facts regarding the voice cast in it, Lydia is voiced by Allyson Court who'd go on to voice Jubiliee in X-Men TAS and was the original voice of Claire Redfield in Resident Evil and her two friends Bertha and Prudence are voiced by Tara Strong and Tabitha St Germain (Aka Twilight Sparkle and Rarity) respectively with Tara pulling double duty as Lydia's rival Claire Brewster
