On Wednesday I received Masaki Kobayashi's Harakiri (切腹), which is one of the oldest currently available Eureka Entertainment titles that I had yet to own. This was also a bonus birthday gift from a fellow forum friend.

On Thursday, I received the collector's edition Blu-ray release for Coming Soon from Anime Limited. Heard it's good cinema material so hopefully it lives up to the hype. You can view more photos & specs on my blog.

And today, I received Toru Murakawa's The Game Trilogy, which includes The Most Dangerous Game (最も危険な遊戯), The Killing Game (殺人遊戯), and The Execution Game (処刑遊戯), from distributor Arrow Video. Now I was supposed to have received this last week, but Amazon never managed to receive any stock so my order got cancelled. I was able to re-order through Zavvi for a good price thanks to Red Carpet's 10% discount and arrived just in time for this month's haul. The first print edition includes a slipcase, booklet and poster.

Could you give someone who gets excited over a cover picture a quick review of The Game Trilogy?
I'm intrigued.
 
This is a bit of a cheat as I bought it last year. I finally cracked and took the wrapper off to have a look.
I sold the game. This is a proper collectors edition.
Coin, badges, cards, soundtrack, book and a sports bra. 🤯

And I'm complaining about the anime price rises when I spent £90 on Gal Gun Returns (when I don't own a games system) Although I did get £30 for the game. What a cheek.

I received a package of anime-related items from Japan today - a set of three Evangelion 3D lenticular mouse pads with gel wrist rests. I first saw the Mari mousepad listing, and was going to buy that one as she is my favorite of the three Rebuild Eva girls, but then I saw a listing for all three mousepads for only slightly more cost that a single one, so I just went for that. I'm really glad I did - they all have really nice 3D lenticular images of the girls, with about 2 inches of apparent 3D depth to them. Certain parts of the, uhh, plug suits really jump out at you, lol. :D

These mousepads are huge, too - a lot larger than I thought they would be - nearly 9 inches across and 11 inches high. These may be more of a collectable thing, though - they are almost too nice to use on a daily basis and wear them out! Below are some pics and links to a short 7 second video of each one trying to show some of the depth of the 3D images:
