Goodness, I've been planning on getting the standard editions, especially as there is no hope of getting the first season CE at a reasonable price now, but I'm being made to feel like I'm missing out by peer pressure! I refuse to give in (so far heh....but once it's also out of stock I won't have this dilemma anymore!)

It's the beginning of the story for Rurouni Kenshin. It would be more impactful to watch the rest of the series first, but you'll be fine. It's one of the best animated works ever made, in my opinion.

Possibly opening a can of worms, but yeah, like thedoctor said (I think that's what they meant), it bears mentioning that Nobuhiro Watsuki was found in possession of child porn, which you may want to know about. Not passing judgment or anything, Ruroken is still very close to my heart, so it sours the whole thing to know it came from someone like that, but there you go.

Hmm that is grim. I remember when the truth about the lost prophets singer came out, a band I'd seen live 5 or 6 times, and it was pretty horrifying to think I'd been supporting them this whole time. Never listened to them since and I was pretty obsessed with Fake Sound of Progress.

I feel a bit dirty to think I inadvertently supported someone like that. I may try and watch it with a more detected frame of mind like watching Momotaro Sacred Soldier as it's something you cant remove from its history. We'll see.

Hopefully you approved of me turning the insert inside-out so at least you didn’t have to suffer the same reaction I did when I first opened it to see one there as well 😛 Seriously though, it was a pleasure to deal with you and I’m glad it arrived safely.

Speaking of reversible inserts, unpacking and re-shelving all my anime I despair there aren’t more like AL’s A Silent Voice standard edition and Manga’s Jormungand Seasons 1 & 2 - Images with nothing but a title on the spine. No logos, no ratings stickers, not even the blu-ray logo. That looks so nice. Why isn’t everything like that?

Yep and the menus play the theme song in German too. It has some bonus features as well though I haven’t checked them out yet. The picture quality doesn’t seem too bad for SD material, and I had forgotten they changed the theme song rendition around the third season.

The HP gaming mouse I was using was starting to annoy the heck out of me recently with clicks not registering at times and since I'd had interest in the MX master mouse in the past (and since this version is currently being sold at under £50) I decided to see if it is a decent option and invest in a MX master 3.

Heheh, ah don't worry dude, I have all the Manga Ent ones for the rebuilds. I was just being greedy as I only recently found out about this CE, which I'd missed, and couldn't resist trying to get one as it was so pretty with those funky art cards!

Today's arrival comes in two different batches. The first is Sammo Hung's Lucky Star Collection from publisher Eureka Entertainment in its first print Blu-ray package. Before Konata ate her chocolate cornet, Sammo Hung directed three films with Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao in 1983 and 1985. The films include Winners and Sinners (奇謀妙計五福星), My Lucky Stars (福星高照) and Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars (夏日福星) across three Blu-ray discs with the first print items being a slipcase and 28 page booklet. I ordered this sooner than expected because it randomly dropped in price by a lot.

Also arrived were Sekirei Omnibus 5 and Sekirei Omnibus 6 from publisher Yen Press. I previously mentioned the situation but I'll quickly recap it here - basically Omnibus 5 has been out of stock for five months and Rightstuf considers it out of print (Yen Press's website also doesn't have a listing for the print) so I was in a state of panic because I loved the anime and wanted to fully own the manga. Thankfully with the assistance of Bookfinder, Book Depository actually had a copy in stock and I ordered it with Omnibus 6 because that one was next in line to be considered potentially OOP. They shipped on Saturday and arrived today.

Omnibus 3 has dispatched and I plan to get Omnibus 8 & 9 + sequel manga 365 Days next month. I can also confirm that the next series I plan to get sooner than later is Viz SIGNATURE's Tenjo Tenge with Omnibus 2, 3, 4 & 6 ordered (there's 11 in total).
