So finally my second order from the Rightstuf Christmas sale has finally arrived. Package was held hostage at custom offices since January 4th and i had to contact them twice to finally have it ship through to my house. The prices are great during the sale, but boy the custom hassle is something else.

Hopefully the first order from Rightstuf will arrive somewhere next week.

Packaging was great except for the bottom where IDOLM@STER Collection 1 was, it doesn't show on the photo but the case is completely in shatters. Hopefully the contents are OK, haven't checked it yet.

Oh BTW the box on the right was just to support the BD's i got. And for anyone wondering that's the Italian Penguindrum: Complete Series.

I had an unfortunate situation with my Rightstuf order as two out of four items ended up going OOP before they could send them to me and I was partially refunded. All I have to come now is The Pilot’s Love Song PE and a $1 blind box. Considering the custom fees I Wish they’d just cancelled the order tbh.

My RS order once got lost at customs (or somewhere between postal service and customs). For 5 month! And of course the Euro had to crash down by 20% in that time, so when it finally came not only did I have to pay more because of the currency, but also because the value went above 150€. I complained and showed them my credit card statement, but they just said that the value is correct, because the value of the days of processing the the case counts.

Also had that case once, which was pretty annoying because the one thing was a half set part 2, and part 1 was then orphaned. (And was opened by then, so returns also not really an option.) They did offer a discount on the complete set preorder, but it wasn't really all that considerable either.

Oooh, would you mind taking some more images of that Penguindrum box? What's its booklet book like? I never found any aside the Amazon-preview image. Had been interested in that back in the day (but then went for the Japanese single releases after all.)

@HWR Yeah well I got very very lucky with No. 6 as that literally was the last copy Rightstuf had. When I check my order about two minutes later it stated OOP. So was a bit worried, but when the shipment confirmation came it was in my package.

@Denny Fisher , back cover says Region A, not sure if the Sentai trick works to play them. Would need to check further. Maybe later this weekend, depending on my health state.

@Luna , will take some more photos tomorrow, if my cold doesn't get worser by then seems I'm coming down with the flue

My parents came to visit me today and they delivered the anime that was part of Anime Limited's 12 Days of Christmas sale.

ALDNOAH ZERO Season 2 (Collector's Edition Blu-ray), Daimidaler: Prince vs Penguin Empire Blu-ray, and Snow White with the Red Hair Seasons 1 & 2 (Collector's Edition Blu-ray), so now I have everything from the sale in my possession.

I also got a new phone since my iPhone SE contract finished this month. I have gone for a Huawei P20 Pro. I've also switched deals and providers, so I'm now under BT/EE rather than O2 in addition I have 24GB mobile data instead of 1GB. The deal was part of BT Mobile so that it's £20 for six months followed by £40 for months 7 to 24. I needed a lot of mobile data to make use of the areas where I can't get access to wi-fi most notably during my travel.

I also picked up Spyro at the local GAME store (used up the points on my card so I got it for £22.04). I almost picked up 428: Shibuya Scramble for £29.99 but they nearly charged me for £39.99 because apparently the £29.99 sticker was no longer valid.

Jokes aside, one of the key selling points for the Huawei P20 Pro was its camera which was a big factor to why I went for it. The camera had a ton of setups and I experimented with a lot of them to find the best image for these unboxing stuff.

With the iPhone SE I used HDR for the main parts then the flash light for the rest due to the shadows getting in the way, but with the Huawei P20 Pro you have HDR but also the option to add the flash light alongside it which provides a pretty neat result.

It was initially going to be an SD Blu-ray release, but the publisher realised that a proper HD remaster existed so they tweaked the release to be a normal Blu-ray product.
