What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Second part of the Xmas Cash Pickups has finally arrived. Chaos;Head and Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. Both Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo Packs from Funimation. I am however annoyed that the DVD cases are slightly broken for Chaos;Head (I just hope B Gata isn't like that) but the discs are 100% fine.

The next item to appear should be B Gata H Kei: Yamada's First Time though the estimated date has varied to throughout these next two weeks.

I'm shocked for two reasons, #1 - This item arrived earlier than I expected (the estimated date was between today and 10th February) & #2 - At £39, this avoided Customs. I guess All Your Music did a good job on that part, this item was ordered on Amazon UK not USA by the way.

Here it is, B Gata H Kei (Yamada's First Time) Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack from Funimation. This item is now Out of Print so it was lucky of me to pick this up, I chose Amazon over UP1 because of the chances that I could get the item.

Received this beauty today. The series is 1080i, but it isn't an SD upscale.
To my understanding the series is 1080i/60 due to the 3D CG having been created @30fps, so there would be stuttering if the series was encoded at 1080/24p

And the Import shelf as it currently stands.

I think following me using the "Anime Collection" topic using this topic is appropriate. :p

I'm definitely happy to see this definitive collection (part 1) turn up at my homebase:

I do not know where the line is in overdoing gratitude, but thanks Mangaranga. ^_^

I've now got the rarest Manga UK Blu-ray so far; Blood: The Last Vampire. £20 on Play UK which is not a bad price, but it had the Irish rating stickers on top of the BBFC stuff so it looks a bit off.
Correct me on this, but it looks like this release is a dub only title. This release is region free (the same with the US version) as both display the copyright notice and the FBI notice.

The rarest Manga UK blu-rays were Blood: The Last Vampire and Devil May Cry, which I now own but was Karas ever released on Blu-ray or was it cancelled (Amazon says it's unavailable)?

Thanks for the info, looks like I have all of the older Manga Blu-rays and just The Sky Crawlers, Eden of the East, Musashi, 2001 Nights and the Fullmetal Alchemist movies left to get (the rest are either importing or considered).

Received this over the last week.
At the back is Battlestar Galactica BD complete boxset.
I'm up to date on the Spice & Wolf novels now after buying books 6 - 10.
Preorders for Is This A Zombie 2 DVD and Watamote v2 manga arrived as well.
I finally bought Un-Go and the second BluRays of Code Geass and Steins;Gate, and the DVD of Chaos;Head to watch before Stein.
And I received my prize from the Manga UK twitter competition during the Wolf Children simul-watch. It's the Wolf Children soundtrack CD, a card signed by Studio Wit, and a little pile of DVDs (Yamato, Tekken, and two others that I already had). Apparently there is a poster on it's way as well.

The seller was super awesome and marked it as a used gift that's under $18, so I didn't receive a ransom note for:

Nintendo UK's community manager confirmed to me that I can use my UK debit card on the Japanese eShop, so I just need to wait for some money to hit my account. Downloading a bunch of demos though. The red is also incredibly smexy in person.

And yes, I downloaded Pokémon Bank.

So you bought a Japanese 3ds? Isn't it going to be a little frustrating if you can't understand what you're playing? Aside which, weren't most of the worthwhile titles localised in the end?
There are still quite a few titles that weren't localised that I'd like to play but the main reason I bought one was for the gaming journalism stuff I do.

As for the language barrier, well some games like Hatsune Miku & Future Stars: Project Mirai don't need language knowledge and I've played Pokémon games in Japanese for about 8 years now with few problems.

Picture version of the PS3 games I bought, each game was under £20 each (about £17.99 each) with Max Payne 3 for £5 and Persona 4 for £12.99.
