The first two seasons of Chihayafuru were released in 2017 and 2018 respectively, so they were setting off my impending OOP alarm.
I saw some of the Monster High reboot on Netflix and was surprised at how good it is. Got to love a show that uses a Wilhelm Scream as the school bell. The US release is DVD-only, presumably because Nickelodeon assume young girls don't care about picture quality. But what about middle-aged weirdos like me?! They've crammed 26 episodes onto 3 DVDs, so I hope they had someone world-class doing the encoding.
This does give me a chance to mention that Strike Witches has my favourite review on Amazon.
A Mrs X says
"I bought it for my son, I've not watched it yet but he seems to have really enjoyed it."
Don't come in mum, I need to watch Strike Witches on my own.![]()
I hate those sleeves. Just looking at them dents them. They dont fit with standard blurays and dont really add any extra art -_-Bashed and bruised.
I now have to decide whether to return and more than likely get a replacement in similar condition
Tell me about it, they clearly underestimate little girls like us; no multiple language options or subtitles on a lot of discs either. I had to import all my Winx Club DVDs from Italy just soI saw some of the Monster High reboot on Netflix and was surprised at how good it is.
