Two purchases from today's Comic Con

October haul of sorts. I get self-conscious and feel kinda silly about doing these, but I enjoy seeing others' pics so much that I end up doing it anyway lol

So, Metroid Dread. As always, Nintendo give us a true artbook. Massive thing of beauty. Right up there with their Xenoblade 1&2, Astral Chain, Fire Emblem Three Houses artbooks. Not like those hardcover dark horse advertisings Sony give us with their special editions. Game is disgustingly good, too. Top 3 of the year for me with Little Nightmares II and Deathloop.

Isis-Panopticon repress on black vinyl. Never thought I'd own this on vinyl without paying upwards of 100 eur, so I'm happy.

Punchline, Standard edition, not much to say there.

A bunch of beers, because beer is my thing.

And the crown jewels: Emo Avril Lavigne's Ergo Proxy (ready for the December simulwatch) and Dennou Coil. Got them both with a massive discount, coming in at like 22/23 eur each + shipping.

Dennou Coil's packaging is atrocious, but the complete series on blu ray+DVD+artbook makes it worth it.

The booklet has a few key visuals as well as blurbs on the main characters, explanations for a couple of key concepts as well as an interview with the director. Succinct, but cool stuff.






Just a mess of a packaging solution. You see, those disc trays are supposed to be glued, so you can flip through them like pages in a book, but some have already come off as you can see and so it just feels cheap now
