Ah that makes sense, that said I don't actually know anyone who bought the other version and a quick search tells me theres no unboxing or anything on youtube. In fact I can't actually find any pics apart from the released promo shots... if anybody has this could they upload pics? I'd love to see what it actually looks like :)
 
Thanks they're some good pictures :) It looks really cool, and they're pretty rare now so if i see one cheap i'll have to pick it up!

What you see and what you imply is different though. They achieve the desired effect without having to go too far.

The One Piece Movie Collections don't look to come in separate cases unfortunately but it does look like the spines align with the collections which is a nice surprise. Hopefully they'll match my US versions.
 
I might have to buy the One Piece movie collections. ALways wanted to jump in to the series but it's so vast that I CBA. Watching these should be doable though!

Did anyone honestly expect Manga to put the discs in separate cases? Remember, they want to go the cheapest route possible so they can flog as many copies as possible dirt cheap.
As much as I liked Strong World, I'm not going to be investing in the earlier films unless Funi license them because lolPAL.

The latest One Piece podcast mentioned the movies were being considered (again) but this time as movie packs, after Film Z is out in September.
 
Anyone know why the prices for Manga's Q3 releases are so ridiculously priced on Amazon compared to other times. Ie. Karneval is £35 for a barebones release. It's probably a little cheaper to import but then we get an artbox too. Sadly it looks region locked, so here's hoping it drops to £22-25 and I'll pre-order it.

Man. Manga make it so hard for me to support them.

(Just checked seems most previous releases have increased in price too).
 
Amazon go through weird quirky periods where they jack up their prices occasionally. This is one of them. They should drop again in the not too distant future.
 
It's not manga who's 'making it so hard to support them'. They just give retailers the SRP and the retailers decide what to price it at. Btw, Karneval is currently £22.99 for the blu-ray copy on Base.

I seriously hope this is a temporary thing and Amazon just haven't got round to lowering the prices yet. There's no way they'd risk losing out on all those sales.

I'd be tempted to try Base, but apparently the deliveries are slow - and to be fair, I'm a pretty die-hard loyalist when it comes to ordering everything off Amazon.
