That's kinda funny, the sword art online vol 3 cover looks much better on the DvD case.

UK companies should try and scale the art down a little so the tops and bottoms don't get cut off, they look a lot better that way.
 
I still wish Aniplex weren't dicks and let MangaUK use the original mock-ups. I compared volume 1 and volume 2 in HMV today and urgh.
 
Bleach Series 13 Part 1 is three discs? Hmmm... I know Series 13 (Japanese Season 14) is the longest of the lot, so I guess this is how they're getting around it. It'll probably be three parts again, but this time each with three discs rather than two. I was expecting four parts of two discs each.

EDIT: Actually, looking at how many episodes Part 1 collects, I assume it will be four episodes (disc 1), four episodes (disc 2) and five episodes (disc 3) if it's like how they did Series 11, and that means it will still take four parts to release the whole of Series 13, with a total of 12 discs! Makes you wonder why they don't put more episodes per disc like they did with Series 12... This seems like more discs for the hell of it.

What was their problem with the original art work? Too nice looking?

I'm surprised they didn't force manga to use a plain white cover with plain white text with a subtitle of "Scummy Cheap Arse Industry-Destroying Foreign Devil Edition".

Am cry at lack of Evangelion uniformity ;_;
 
Huh, interesting move. Still the price of the Jormungand BD is still as usual on Amazon, so it's fine by me.

I like the Blue Exorcist movie art a lot. I hear the AniplexUSA release has lossy audio yet again, this time on the 5.1 tracks (even for the Japanese audio :eek: ), so it'll be interesting to see if Madman and Manga can do a Sword Art Online and feature lossless English audio as well as a lossless 5.1 Japanese track.

yeah, if i remember correctly Aniplex's release has DTS Audio for the Eng/Jap 5.1/Jap Commentary tracks but the JP Stereo track is LPCM. The movie looks pretty damn good visually, and the dub was as good as the TV series, so I'm not going to complain.

Well. There goes any chace of me buying anything from Manga anytime soon. It's annoying that they're happy to put out a standard DVD only set yet not a standard BD. If anything it should be Combo and standard BD.

I was going to disagree, but now I think on it we want to encourage BD pickup so forcing DvD only people to buy a combo pack is a good, if slightly evil, idea.

Trouble is Manga don't want the hate that it would cause, still too many DvD only viewers at this time.
 
It'll be interesting to see if High School DxD gets that 15. Also, I really like the K-ON! Season 2 boxart. I'll need to pick that up for my little brother.
