Just got Iria and liked the inside cover so thought I'd share

MVM seem to have adopted a standardised style for their cover designs across their releases now. I quite like it, it's clean and elegant. Wish they'd get rid of that 2-disc set logo, just the text would do.

MVM just modify the Australian covers. All of the above are Hanabee releases, hence the uniformity of design.

Lucky for us, Hanabee design some really nice covers.

They still need a touch of improving though in my opinion:

- the spine with the top rounded rectangle should be smaller
- disc count should either be removed or moved, it seems odd to have it top right
- text should be better positioned on the back

Agreed, for some reason that block at the top just doesn't look right, I think it must be the way the lines are weirdly indented

I'm hoping that Spirited Away sticker is on the cellophane and not the sleeve like it was with Whisper :evil:

I love Optimum/Canal's choice of artwork for the Ghibli titles (except Whisper's which is a tad misleading). I do wish there were fewer logos and banners, though. And numbers.

I'm liking the change of the logo style, it looks much better compared to the US Version.

If they get rid of the disc amount on the front and side then these new covers will really suit the Blu-ray versions.

EDIT 10th August 2013, Part 2 Blu-ray cover now has a better quality image.

New cover for the live action Space Battleship Yamato and Hellsing: Original series, plus a slightly altered version for Unlimited Blade Works. Bigger versions haven't been found on other sites (Amazon UK) except UBW.

More like get rid of those ficking Double play banners. They are ugly as hell and ruin cover art.
I refuse to buy anything which has that horrible banner which is a shame as Yamato actually looked interesting based off of the trailer at expo. Thankfully I already bought Sentai's UBW over a year ago.
