Now that you've mentioned it, It feels to me that the designer might be stuck in a force of habit and/or to me it feels like (keyword: feels) very minimal effort is put into the designs, there appears to be no extra effort put in to make something look appealing to the eye (ala Anime Limited), maybe they have strict time constraints and the bosses just want everything in and out of the door quickly, I don't know but they tend to look cheap and very much like an eyesore, hell the dimensions feel off sometimes, the Neko Black art work looks weird to me, somethings off with it.. and that Bodacious Space Pirates Complete collection cover? Yikes.
I love what MVM do, they've been putting out some great shows recently and have upped their social media input which is something I heavily felt they needed to do but jesus, the art work leaves a lot to be desired. Its so important in this day of age to have something visually pleasing, sure 90% of the public won't care but that's still 10% leftover and in the Anime industry, its vital to get as many people as you can purchasing your products. I've done Graphic Design myself over the years and it just takes some more love to get something nicer looking, create a new template ...just something!
That was a hefty rant, oops, my bad. Forgive me. I love you really MVM. mwah.
Edit: That Anime Classic's cover is lovely. Can we swap please.

We would've liked to have used the Funi cover as it is pretty hip [hop], but unfortunately the licencors for reasons unknown wouldn't allow us. End of the day they have the final say.

Also I've just noticed yet another cock up with the so called "Collectors" box, other than the fact the BDs have been stripped of extras and shoved on a DVD.
It says 3 disc collectors edition when part 2 is meant to go in the slipcover too.
It's annoying that it's highly unlikely this release will bomb despite the absolute shoddy treatment it's getting over here.
Who me? Nah that's Manga just trying to make up for sales. It's not like it flopped before release or anything.-Danielle- said:You have 3 versions of part 1? Commitment right there
I'm guessing it's a manga Instagram/Facebook pic. You'd really think if you're releasing a collector's edition you'd want it front and center not hidden at the back...NormanicGrav said:Who me? It's from Manga's FB (probably everywhere else as well). I agree, strange logic.Jon O Fun said:I'm guessing it's a manga Instagram/Facebook pic. All right, maybe it's not a cock up in that regard, but it's still a silly way to do it when you're ultimately going to put another set in with it.Jeremy_Graves said:How is it a cock up when that's how will be displayed in shops? I appreciate where you're coming from on the point, but it's really not a cock up, in my opinion - and FYI, I'm not just saying because I'm Manga's Community Liaison.
Also, though you can't see it in the picture, there is a sticker that highlights you can put Part 2 inside.
