Pre-ordered that Toradora Premium BD at UP1.
I love this series a lot and it's a no brainer to get the US release with the Artbook and Artbox - assuming it's Standard BD/DVD size.
I honestly don't have the space for their usual massive premium editions anymore.

I do have to wonder how long ago NISA actually decided to Dub this and release it on BD, especially since Hanabee released Toradora in Australia only recently and that came with a nice Artbox too.

I suspect they've been biding their time, waiting for the OK to do a BD release, given the price of the JP one I imagine they've had to wait quite some time.

Got my pre-order in with UP1 aswell, quite impressed they have an entry for it already given the news seems to have broken today.

That Red Data Girl cover is gorgeous, could do with the Funimation logo being to the right though ..but that's just me being nitpicky.

Enlarged version of the French Anime Limited release (note cover is not final and may not represent the upcoming UK release).

Notes on Funimation June Lineup:
- Attack on Titan, Part 1 (Standard, Limited, Collector's), Code:Breaker: Complete Collection (Standard, Limited) & Dragon Ball Z: Season 5 Collection will be UK Blu-ray (B) compatible and DVD (2) compatible (exc. Dragon Ball Z since it's BD only).
- Date A Live may include the OVA "Date to Date" (i.e. Episode 13) based on the cover art spine above and the runtime of 325 minutes, despite the Shop Funi spec not mentioning it.
- Despite Manga UK being able to license it early, Karneval is (at the moment) region locked to A and 1. Who knows it might have the same situation as Kamisama Kiss.
- Code:Breaker probably won't include the 3 OVAs released in 2013.
- The LE 3D cover art for Attack on Titan is not an artbox, they seem to be releasing the series in two digibook style releases (like Berserk: Film 1 from KAZE UK).

BREAKING NEWS, THIS SAVE EDITION LOOKS INSANE.

Found this in the ANN forums, the latest SAVE edition looks as good as it's original release, the difference being the sleeve has the SAVE spine.

Well done Funimation! I hope the next few (Cat Planet Cuties, Shangri-La, Shiki) look as good as this one.

.

Looks pretty good, slightly smaller than the original release by the looks as it had a DvD sized outside box (which got crunched by the cellophane wrapper on mine due to the empty space at the top)

The box for the original release is the same as the S.A.V.E edition version with the only change being the green banner on the O-card (it looks like they've just used whatever stock they had left from the original release and just created the new O-card).

Some of the other up coming S.A.V.E editions will most likely be a standard BD case (like the strike witches season 1 and 2 S.A.V.E edition sets) if they're 12 or so episodes long with the green banner on the cover.

The upcoming Shiki S.A.V.E. has all the episodes in a combo pack so I'm going to guess it will probably look like Shana S1 S.A.V.E. (hopefully it does, it's one of the best underlooked shows I've seen).

Is toradora going to be region free?

Looks like it's not, if you notice on the discs they only display A and 1. Most NIS releases are A and/or 1 baring the Daily Lives of High School Boys release which was A, B & C.

It's possible, but since the original was released in two parts and not one complete set like Shana season 1 was it's likely that if they use the same type of case then they'll have to create a new cover and thus they might put the green banner on it and not include an O-card.

Holy ****, why would you possibly need to buy the DVD AND BD of pretty much EVERY SINGLE RELEASE. The amount of money he must spend in a month...
Calling it now, one day that guy is going to hit a turning point and think, "Just what the **** have I been doing with my life?"
