Latest Overseas News & Updates:
- Technical issues on Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero have appeared - Blu-ray Disc 2 doesn't work for B players and audio is 2.0 for English instead of the usual 5.1 sound, including some average video quality. Something is going on with Funi's work this year - Part 1 on Eureka Seven AO's title logo for LE art, Choppy Opening/Endings on episodes for Good Luck Girl!, Broadcast Edits for Sankarea, Pixelated images on We Without Wing's LE art and now another Aria incident. They need to sort this out for 2014's releases.
- Media Blaster's Rio Rainbow Gate and Koe de Oshigoto releases will be here soon.

On the bright side, here's the full packaging for Funimation's first sub-only Blu-ray release OniAi, The Complete Series. The subtitles are not locked.

- Funimation imploded with their March line-up. Shocked to see Shana as a SAVE, but on the plus side would fit well next to Season 2, 3 and the OVA + Movie.
- Psycho Pass receives the next 'Premium' treatment. Only instead of a Part 1 LE, the premium set will contain both parts at a high price with OSTs and more.
- Ikki Tousen: XX and its OVA for some reason is classed Region 2 compatible. Maybe MVM and Madman's licensing did something.

God I want that Fist of the North Star Complete Collection so bad, alongside Bye Bye Liberty Crisis. I hope that the FOTNS set is packed in a art box, like the re-released Digimon stuff. Srsly Discotek, your gonna make me bankrupt next year with the amount of awesome stuff you release…. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Oh shizzle mah nizzle. By Funi's standards that set looks absolutely amazing and it deserves the treatment it's getting. Day 1 purchase.
I must admit I'm slightly disappointed that it's not coming with an art book, but hey, it's still better than a bog standard Funi release.
 
A brand new version of the FotNS TV Version cover is unveiled, looks much better than the manly cover before (which creeps me out).

The Great Guardians set I just received is also Region 1, 2 & 4 compatible. Not sure if that's Funimation stealing a few orders by making imports easy or something else.

I didn't realise GG was 1,2,4 during the month as I first thought it was 1 only (like Battle Vixens). I wonder if they will get DD...

After what happened with the BBFC & the last Ikki Tousen series over here (luckily I got the UK release) I am rather leery of importing in case I end up with content effectively banned in the UK.

I second this as well, I rather have an uncut/uncensored anime product than any other sort (which is why I haven't bought MVM's Paranoia Agent).

Ye, small annoyance given it's that or nothing.

Funny thing is though watching recent Funi discs they seem to have 4-5 people listed on their credits board (the thing they pop up after the last episode on a disc) as QC. Recent errors would however suggest they aren't checking the right stuff is on the disc, presumably they are just checking that things play properly. I blame the higher ups not doing the QC, you can't expect Joe blogs down in editing to know that one ending that appears to be the same ending as another is actually a exact duplicate given the Anime industry's tendency to vary openings by a few frames.

- Love, Election & Chocolates sub-only release, Di Gi Charat: Winter Garden and Girls und Panzer OVA specials final covers are revealed. Girls und Panzer specials are Region AB.
- Mayo Chiki, a sub-only title previously released on DVD will be given an upgrade to Blu-ray with an English dub for August 2014.
- For those who aren't bothered about the situation with Dragon Ball Z's new Blu-ray release, they are Region AB (the Funimation site listings is an error, the discs and unboxings confirmed this).

I hope someone can check to see if it works on UK PS3s or something, because that would suck if it were region locked.

I'm definitely going to pre-order Advent as soon as UP1 adds it so I can then test it when it's out, Viz did stop the Top Menu trick but hopefully Advent beats it like Egg of the King and Doldrey.

Ahh my mistake, I might pick it up and test it out if the price is reasonable. EDIT: £55 is fair enough.
 
Nadia looks interesting.

If it doesn't get picked up for a UK release I might import the blu-ray.

Since it's a Sentai release, it'll work on any zone B player even it states otherwise (it just takes a bit more work to get the first episode to play since you have to manually find it through the title list before playback of the lock screen ends).
