Yes I too have been thinking that. Maybe they're using the likes of this (just slightly bigger than UK case)

http://www.casetopia.com/Viva_Elite_6_D ... -elite.htm
I did think that was what they'd use since the cat plane cuties SAVE uses the 4 disc version of that case and still has the raised sections where the other two discs would be (it just doesn't have the centre spindle that holds the disc).

However, considering the size of the box, and the thickness of the book in the first posted picture, they might only be showing one of the cases that holds the discs as they might be using multiple cases instead of just one.

These sets coming from Disney (Wind Rises is Touchstones which is part of Disney but for the non-children market) will be out at the same time on November 18th. Regions TBC but chances are either ABC / 1 or A / 1.

The long delayed El Hazard OVA BD-BOX has been updated with a front cover image. Date is still set for September 26th.

This is the JP release that was on infinite hiatus? or is it now back on track, because if so I need to get an order in :)

Well sort of, yes. Order it if you want but I'm not sure whether September will be the final date.

Given the various delays I assume it could slip more, and I suppose I need to consider it might get picked up in the US/UK once the materials are out there

3D covers should be up within a week or two (rather excited to see what's on the spine for DxD New).

Whilst I'm very happy that Funi chose the LN style art for Index, I wish that they could have used the JP BD Box art and Logo. Both are superior IMO.

It seems odd to me that Funi are using 4 DVDs and 4 BDs for this considering they usually shove 24 eps on 3 BDs. Maybe they authored it before with the intention of doing BD and DVD parts together initially?
Either way I'm incredibly disappointed that none of the BD releases of Index are coming with an Artbox. There's loads of really nice artwork to choose from, and I also don't really like Funi's spine design and Slipcovers.

I'd love Andrew to snag Index and give it a nice UK release, but if nothing is announced regarding a UK release from anyone by the time Funi's release comes out I'll most likely double dip anyway despite owning the DVD sets.

I'm hoping Andrew picks it up, I wouldn't mind getting an Anime Limited version over the Funimation release but if it goes to someone else I'll just get the US edition.

UK distributors obviously see us fans LITERALLY crying out for a UK release of index/railgun, but without the corporate backing of manga I doubt anime limited or MVM could really afford whatever mad as balls price Universal have put on it (remembering we're talking four 24ep series and a movie. So unless Universal are actually gonna release it themselves (eta right after the world pig flying competition) there's only one answer! Quick, Anime Limited to the kickstartermobile! :)

3D Cover Versions of Funi's November line up & some Hanabee titles (For the 3D cover of One Piece Season 6 Voyage 1, it's back a few pages in this thread):

I'm loving the DxD Spine, though it doesn't entirely match the first season (same girl, same spine, different pose).

Anybody else think that Index pack shot looks like an artbox and the DVD / Blu ray will be in two separate cases?

I see what you mean. Though from my understanding it's a fat pack (like Sekirei: Complete Series, Spice & Wolf: Complete Series etc.) with 4 Blu-rays & 4 DVDs. I remember everyone thinking Fafner would be an artbox by the way it looked then it turned out to be a fat pack with a DVD sized slipcase.

Seeing that Nisemonogatari complete series reminded me. Anyone know if the Bakemonogatari complete series Hanabee released at the beginning of August was an artbox or not?

I have done a bit of a search and couldn't find any photos or info from users that may have bought it.

It's actually a cardboard slipcase (think Manga UK's slipcases or the recent Aniplex slipcases from July) with two cases inside (like Madman & Siren Visual, they use the existing Part 1 & 2 sets and put them together). Australian YouTuber DoctorDazza did an unboxing on Bakemonogatari and also Nekomonogatari White:

Blimey, it's a shame the australian Blu-rays come in DVD sized sets for the monogatari releases as the slips look rather nice. I'd have probably plumped for them versus the UK releases if they were BD size.

The digibook versions of the DVD releases are awesome.
