It did? I heard more about it in relation to Okada I afair.
(Still think the begining scene was quite nice and the last episode has one really beautiful scene, but everything in between was not so great...)

Both had the same writer, which wasn't Okada. Although AnoNatsu had the same director as AnoHana, which is why I watched it and it was only OK.
Found this recommendation piece on MAL from a familiar name:
Nozomi/Rightstuf have dropped support for DVDs so if there's an anime that they still have the license for, then it will get a Blu-ray later down the line unless there is no HD remaster.
