And Joshawott is guy who likes to ruin jokes by referring to myself to himself as if he is talking about someone else.

Now, if we talk GAMES, then there are quite a few I haven't completed - I get a new game, play like mad for a few days, get bored.

And you're one to jump to conclusions. Animefreak17 saw the funny side to which it was intended. Saying he is an idiot is hardly rude and hardly insulting, it's merely friendly banter in which you seemed to have missed. Maybe I should insert a line explaining that it should be taken in jest? If I wanted to be rude using the term idiot will probably be the last word I'd use. But then again our resident hero here would probably don his cape again and condemn for it.

Calling anyone an idiot is rude, unless it is made clear it is just joking. You didn't make it clear. Consider yourself fortunate that my response was merely proportionate to your crime.

"But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgement. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell."
Matthew 5:22

Dear world: Banter is not a catch all term for "talking" it is lighthearted, often amusing discussion between two parties. What Shiroi posted is not banter AF, consider yourself warned :p For appropriate use see Durial's use of the term.

As for the wider community, something "random" or "funny" you did, does not constitute banter. Going out, getting wasted and jumping in a lake is NOT banter. Thank you for your time.

I think this usage was just a shortening of 'I did it for the banter', abbreviated for those who find words difficult. Whether even that is correct usage of the word I guess is debatable. My friend annoyingly overuses this word as soon as he's had a few pints so I share your anger. I guess it's the new 'random'.

That does make more sense, but I've never heard it said that way. I blame that "Gap Yah" video =P. Thing is, I don't remember 'random' being as widespread as current stand up comedians of a certain age seem to think :p

AF mate this isn't just your forum remember that.

I know that all I want is this thread to go back to what it was ment to be of.

Anyway the list iv shown you of my unwatched series are more or less in order on how I'm going watch them

My backlog has been shrinking thanks to buying less anime of late. I'm currently in the process of incorporating Haruhi S2, one of the shows in the backlog, into my re-watch of S1.

Other stuff in ze backlog:

Sound of the Sky (been saving this for the proverbial rainy day)
Eden of the East (see above)
Code Geass
Darker than Black 2
My-Otome
Ramen Figher Miki

Not so bad. I also need to finish off Kodocha (what Funi released of it anyway) and Squid Girl, as well as re-watch stuff I've upgraded to Blu-ray (Baccano, FMP: Fumoffu & TSR, and Samurai Champloo).

Just because it's happening doesn't mean I have to like it.

So you'd be positively gay if words ceased to change their meaning over time?

Got the Ramen Fighter Miki manga and didn't like it. When I realised Muteki Kanban Musume was the same thing, I turned it right off.

No, that's not what I'm saying. I just think Banter is a stupid word in its new context because of the laddish culture it came out of. It's fine if a word changes its meaning, but I doubt 90% of the people who use it in the newer context even know what it means in its proper usage.
