Hayao Miyazaki Blu-ray Collection coming out November 3rd 2014 (Warning: SRP price is £249.99)

So, the question is, what does it contain? 10 films and we are down to £25 a film, and that £249.99 is probably the start point, not the end Amazon price. Could be really good value for someone like me who has only a few Miyazaki films on DvD and none on BD.

Hal Collectors Edition Combi Pack - 27th October
Blood Lad DVD Collection - 27th October
Blood Lad Collectors Edition Blu Ray - 27th October
Wings of Honneamise DVD - November 24th
Wings of Honneamise Collectors Edition Combi Pack - November 24th

Not the correct topic but I couldnt really found Neko White at MAL or Anidb... what da heck is that lol

I have updated all of those minus Neko.

By the way, this is a lot of gatari's dropping this year xD

It's the first arc in Monogatari Season 2, I guess MVM are selling it by the arc, no doubt dictated by Aniplex. As mentioned in the news thread, it means a lot of four and five episode releases.

Nekomonogatari (Shiro) is the first story arc of 'Monogatari second season'. Aniplex USA (and thus MVM) are mirroring the way it's split into its arcs in Japan, rather than blurring them all together under the generic 'Monogatari' title. This makes more sense if you know that it's based on a series of books which had unique names for each story.

Edit: Curses, beaten.

Kill la Kill Part 1 - Tentatively December 8th according to Amazon

We're receiving materials now so I'm not super concerned about the release date for Part 1 at the very least now - which is to say I'll have made the masters for Discs 1 & 2 by then anyway. Just preparing product for approval with Aniplex of America in August so working on schedule there :).

Will be ready for delivery pre-Christmas :)

I think the thing that really muddied the waters for people who don't follow the books was airing Neko~ (Kuro) so separately. I still don't think it makes "sense", though, imo it's just a cute way of selling a series that has always had something of a particularity about its presentation.

@Just Passing Through and Rui

Ok thanks for the replies, so then I have changed the name in the database to Kabukimonogatari insteand of Monogatari Series... Unless in the database I should leave Monogataries second season and when everytime there's a date for a new arc, I just use the link to the Monogataries second season link. Is this correct then?

Perhaps list it as
Monogatari Second Season - Kabukimonogatari
Monogatari Second Season - Whatevermonogatari

Just a suggestion?

In terms of the database, we don't have anywhere to put the full details so you're probably best off leaving it as Monogatari s2 then adding the individual things to the schedule and linking them to the main Monogatari anime entry - exactly as you've done with Kabukimonogatari, which looks perfect. When the reviewers get around to adding the reviews, they can name them by linking them to Monogatari with a volume number and alternate title (e.g. Kabukimonogatari) so there won't be any problems doing it this way around.

In the schedule you could always write the release name as Kabukimonogatari (Monogatari Second Season Part 2) (DVD) or something like that if you want to be extra-specific?

In terms of my own release spreadsheet I'm considering putting "Monogatari" in front of everything so they're all in the same place alphabetically. Possible also adding a number to put them in date order as well.. (e.g. Monogatari 1: Bakemonogatari, Monogatari 2: Nisemonogatari...)

Aniplex USA have a Monogatari Second Season site, but their releases do not have this on them, just the arc and story names.

I have done this, I think its ok this way. ;)

I've just had an email from Amazon saying the Place Promised / Voices twin pack will be released on the 22nd December. Not sure if that's another placeholder or if this is the actual date confirmed now.
