UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2025 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

Not too worried about my Christmas order. 5 films on the last day will probably be at the bottom of the list somewhere.

But still no sign of the Perfect Blue 4K or an official email apologising and explaining what happened! Any news on this @Hanners?

I'm getting this chased constantly, as we're still trying to claw back stock over-ordered by another retailer to retrieve the units we need for our (and other retailers) outstanding orders.

How come people who order overseas have had their parcels and yet i made an order 6 weeks ago and not even despatched?abit weird your doing people overseas first tbh

We aren't - overseas orders are handled in separate batches to domestic ones (due to differing couriers and collection times), and there are exceptions in terms of shipments being centred around specific products to speed up the number of orders shipped in a given day to maximise throughput, but broadly speaking they're being handled in date order where possible currently is my understanding.

Let me preface this by saying all my orders have been cancelled or dispatched; I no longer have a 🐎 in this race.

I think some of the discontent over these delays could be ameliorated with a bit of contrition. But the posts from Hanners on this page are indicative of AL's overall handling of the situation: matter-of-fact statements with no hint of apology. Having worked in customer service, you apologise to customers even when their issue is not your fault.

That's the most disappointing thing for me. I'm out. Probably won't be back next year.

Im thinking of doing the same 3 orders totalling £400 and still nothing, ive been ordering from them for near on 9 years now and this is the worst, then again since the takeover they have one of the worst customer services ive come across, big name releases at christmas aswell all at the same time as doing a sale, wonder who’s clever idea that was, surely you would put them on for november release?

And yet there are many of us who ordered on Day 1 or 2 of the sales and are still waiting.

Really hope they go into next year's sale with no releases scheduled for December as that's clearly a big factor here. I know they'll likely have the excuse that no December releases will affect sales but as we can already see in this thread having December releases coincide with a sale is gonna have a negative hit to their reputation and affect next year's sales.

They already have said in december that pre orders were taking priority over chrismas sales, hence i put above about having releases in december while a sale what they cant fulfill is taking place

I ended up cancelling my whole BOGOF order (six items). I emailed them about it last night and they confirmed the cancellation by midday today. Just waiting for the refund now.

This enhanced cooling-off period made me realise that I was fine without most of the items in that specific order. I think I already own enough Gundam for now (don't tell Hellcat). And as unique as Belladonna of Sadness is, it's too depressing to watch repeatedly. I did really want the first seasons of Kaiji and Tonikawa, but I've already started rewatching the former on Crunchyroll during the six weeks I've been waiting, and probably would have finished it before the BD arrived. I might reorder those two separately the next time they're discounted.

Nothing I ordered in the sale has shipped yet, so that leaves me with two orders still waiting to be fulfilled. One is waiting for Otaku Elf to be released at the end of the month, and I guess the other will ship whenever the size of the parcel matches the feng shui of the delivery van some day.

This is exactly how I felt with the 2024 Christmas sale which is why I didn't bother buying anything during the latest one. My order from the 2024 sake was delayed pretty badly but it seems even worse this time, I can't believe people with day 2 orders are still waiting on them, that is crazy.

The consumer rights act UK says goods must be delivered within 30 days of ordering unless a specific time was agreed upon at the point of ordering, it is probably worth reminding AL of this. I think I have seen it said a couple of times that AL shut their distribution centre down around the end of the sale and don't reopen until January, if this is true then that is terrible especially considering the amount of oreorders and sale orders placed.

With the vast amounts of money being paid upfront customers deserve better.

6 times? What possessed you to do that?

Last years wasnt to bad to be fair
Sure i had near all orders before christmas

This year they have totally messed it up,stuff like this will just keep people away knowing they have to wait 7+ weeks or cancelling items if they think about christmas presents
